This was heavy. I listened to the whole thing. Really good episode, Stephane is a straight shooter. I was at my peak moto when Roncada was the only guy with a chance of beating James. When he was on, it was wild.

Addiction definitely doesn't discriminate. I was an addict for 12 yrs... At my lowest I was taking 50-60 hydro 10's a day before switching to oxy and heroin. I was a master at keeping it hidden too... Happy to say that June 28th was my 8th yr clean! Glad Ron-Ron made it thru the other side. It's definitely a battle. You really never know what someone else is going through.

Almost the same here that’s crazy I got injured in O4 I was 18 got prescribed Norco 10’s abused those for a few years then oxy contin hit hard a few years later and was strung out on that shxt for few years an got expensive asf so switch to methadone took that for a few years and got arrested for having 20 methadone pills on me without a script (whole nother story) then got into a suboxone clinic and took that for a few years an was able to taper down an get off. So 13 years total an been clean for 8 years in March. I’m doin ok now but the shxt definitely ruined my life but no one’s fault but my own. 🫡 brother

Let me ask did you stop or did you go to a doctor and got Suboxone or another thing to help?
@justinbradley529415 сағат бұрын
@denniswilder3014 sure man. The first yr I was on a suboxone tapering program and the 7 yrs since have been totally substance free. Suboxone used properly can really save lives. Did for me anyway.

Ron Ron is one of a handful of guys that can ever truly say they were able to give Bubba a challenge…. He was a great rider I’m glad he’s still with us.. I was a kid sitting directly in front of the section where he and DV934 got into the fight at the Georgia Dome in I believe 2002. Was my first moto fight I ever saw was wild.

I met Roncada back in the day when he started helping Rob reynaird, not the racer, the Video Game producer from Rainbow Studios. I actually called him at the Luxor when we got to Vegas for the US Open that year, and the racer Robbie answered the phone. lol Anyway, Roncada worked with Rainbow to help to make the best factory bike 2 stroke sounds for MX Madness. He had some questions about the setup with the bikes in the game, and he seemed like such a cool and down to Earth guy. I never knew he went through this, but at near the same time, so did I. I had multiple injury's, and they started prescribing OxyContin 30's, then 40's. And, just like Stephan said, they make you feel like a better you. I knew nothing about addiction and never had a friend or family get on that stuff, so I was actually naive. The Dr eventually wants to cut you back to get you off of them, but the withdraw is so bad, and the longer you are on them, the worse it is. It is so bad that dying sounds better then living sick. I never knew I could feel so bad inside, and suicide starts to pop into your mind once you exhaust all your options to keep getting the med. Some people's systems do not produce the things you need to feel a good sense of well being for sometimes years after they get off of it, and after quitting cold turkey from 8-10 Oxy 30's a day, nearly 3 Months later I was still sick, and had zero energy. I got back on them at that time. It's a feeling of darkness that cannot be explained to people who never felt that before. So, like Stephan, I got on Methadone for a cpl years, and that stuff just slowly kills you and destroys your teeth, but luckily, I tried suboxone, and I was able to get my life back. In that dark time, I had bought a gun and planned to end things but somehow, after never being religious in any way, I felt a calling on me, and not long after that, I was delivered of all the bad, and felt joy again, and now work for the Lord in a Ministry helping people all over the World. I believe I had to go through that to be able to understand it to be able to not have a bias when I meet people now that have that same problem. I used to think people with those problems were just selfish idiots, but now I understand it, and realize just how hard it is to get though. If any of you have bud's stuck on Opiates, get them on Suboxone. It will bring them back, and they can work and function just fine on it. There is no high, but there is no sickness either. I may be on them for life, but it's far better than where I was headed prior.

I actually remember the night this happened. My grandma and aunt were both er / icu nurses at menifee valley medical center at the time and I remember my grandma coming home and telling me and my dad about “this dirt bike racer guy” that came in coding that night. Her shift was just ending when all was going down she had the hardest time remembering and pronouncing his name. Saying like “Stephanie or Steven or something like that”. We eventually figured it out and when my dad and I both said his name and she said “yea that’s it!” I about shit myself. I was such a super fan of all things moto at the time it was such a hit that felt close to home and not knowing the outcome of the situation until the following evening was a big sigh of relief after a stressful day at elementary school lol. I remember seeing him a couple years later as a photographer at Glen Helen and I just watched him do his thing for like five minutes and just thinking to myself “ good for you man look at you now”.. that felt like yesterday and a lifetime ago at the same time. I’m glad he’s doing well. He seems like a very good human.

I wish I understood French better so I can understand more of what he’s saying. This guy was an absolute beast. Saw him in 2001 at Unadilla. He was clearing sky shot farther than even the 250 class.

@Corkyramano42 bruv I don't speak French, only English, I can understand him perfectly well... being able to speak French won't help you understand what someone whos speaking English with a French accent is saying.
