I love Castlevania 2 Simon's Quest because this was the first game that introduce me to the Castlevania Story and it's game series, then I played the original Castlevania and so fourth 👍👍

Even though I couldn't figure out or beat castlevania II as a kid it didn't stop me from jumping in the game from time to time for another go! Its just so awesome from the music to the visuals I can easily say it's iconic

I like that there's one different style game in the classic CV games. Finished Castlevania in 1988, was sooo ready for a sequel. Not easy to find a copy. Mom ordered in the Sears catalogue, they told her sold out, but suddenly filled and shipped the order! Big surprise Christmas morning 1988, still remember as the best Christmas ever. I was more interested in adventure style games at the time, so this was perfect for me, and I still love the game 32 years later.

Wow Dracula's Satanic Castle now that's a game I would buy! Its certainly Interesting to discover what CastleVania could have been called. I played Simon's Quest for the first time last year on Christmas eve and really enjoyed it! Despite getting stuck I think its a real hidden gem. Another fantastic video Rodney!

Definitely a classic imo. 👍 Wish Castlevania III was still my favorite of the three, this one is a close second. I only wish they would release a remaster with a better translation, but I still love it as it is. Great video as always!

I love Castlevania II. Always have. I guess I got lucky by having the required Nintendo Power subscription when I got the game, I don't know. All I know is that aside from the translation problems and obscure hints I think the game is a masterpiece.

See my thing is with Castlevania part to Simmons quest is a little backwards than most gamers I played Castlevania part to Simmons quest first not knowing anything about part one and part three wasn’t out yet or released is what I mean so when I played part two I loved it eventually I got a hold of part one it was a Christmas gift from my mother and I played it and I was honestly disappointed the graphics seem cheesy slow Simon didn’t look the same he looked like he wanted to be Arnold Schwarzenegger and I just didn’t enjoy the game play however in the 90sI was at Ed’s Funcade Park two on the boardwalk and I stacked up enough points and got Castlevania three Dracula’s curse and I love that one also then I moved on the Sega Genesis with bloodlines thanks for your video

Definitely disagree. This game is long, boring and frustrating. Almost impossible to beat without the NP magazine to explain the confusing parts. I wouldn't compare this trash to a masterpiece like SotN. Cool channel, though.

Everything you said is subjective your opinion bro. A lot gamers love this game without it there would be no sotn. It's a classic and felt like an adventure. Sotn is most overrated

The game may be long and frustrating to an extent, but not enough to make the game bad, and it's more scary than boring. Plenty of NES games have confusing parts which you might not be able to figure out on your own, and a lot of them are considered classics. Also, Konami doesn't care that you "wouldn't compare this trash to a masterpiece like SotN," because, as stated in the video, the director of Symphony of the Night was influenced by Simon's Quest to create his game. In other words, SotN wouldn't exist without this game, so I think Simon's Quest deserves a bit more respect.
