Mine just came in today and her roots are incredible! The plant is only about 6-9 inches tall but the roots are all of 2 feet long. I'm in love 😌

Hey orchid girl 👋 I'm from Assam(northeast india) and this orchid is our state flower :-) but sadly I don't know anything about how to grow her in the home. They grow wild here. 2 days ago I've got one in a dead tree branch and I decided to grow her in my home. But again I'm not an expert. So, could you please guide me a little? How do you feed her? And what??? She is in that tree branch yet. I did water her. She has four leaves but I'm expecting to have flower in the next flowering season which is 3 months later! I don't know whether it's possible or not. Please reply me...pleeeeaaseee. I love your orchids and your sweet voice 😃

I have the Rhyn. retusa and the Rhyn. rieferi(which is pretty rare to come by) and i have to tell you that these are strong plants which shoot out multiple basal keikis. I also have a hybrid of the coelestis it is Vascostylis sasicha blue. And i am dying to get its blooms next year

I just bought a baby one of these by accident, I usually avoid any type of vanda I just don't know how to keep them alive, but I have it now and I want to at least try but I really have no clue what to do. It says it likes frequent watering and humidity but doesn't like being potting so I have an old peg basket lol it's basically a plastic basket full of holes I was thinking of using that and just adding some clay balls to keep it stabilized?

Is it better to grow this upside down ..like mabe in wild grows upside down..? I am working on a self feeding naturalpot. Any ideas. I'm wanting the orchids to hang like they would in wild with out a stick..

So far I have figured out how to keep them alive..thank you for all your advice. So far I have figured out you need to act fast as soon as orchids are bought.. they sell them sick. I take them apart. Wash them thoroughly head to toe. In warm tap water. Cleaning thurough..i then rinse with peroxide.then have HOSPITAL area. All in water culture. And all successfully growing roots..proving almost any living orchkd can be rescued.

I thought you weren't a big fan of purple. ;) Your Rhynchostylis is absolutely gorgeous - so gorgeous, in fact, that I went online within minutes and ordered one. I personally LOVE the bluish purple colour range, so long as it doesn't dip too much into grey (like Cattleya purpurata werkhauserii).

Ellen fletcher Usually none. Vandas and similar orchids like to be bare-rooted or just in a basket like Danny has hers in. It makes it easier to water the plants without having the roots in standing water.

@@Justusorjustone if we order seelings a small advantage is you will get 2-4 platelets named as a single seedlings like bushy one. The sellers cant remove those seedlings thats advantage i hope the seedlings wont fight to get nutrient and one grow tall and eat other lol😅

Den phals seedling mature so fast...so when they say u that they r going to send you free orchids,tell them to send den phal seedlings to you..
