Your videos are definitely a source of entertainment for us. We, on occasion, love to get a bottle of wine and spend the evening with KZbin (MOG included) and just chill. Thanks for the videos.

Love orchid No. 6 (purple and yellow Catt) and the Jungle Catt but my vote goes for the Peaches (No. 1). It has flowers everywhere - which is awesome!

I love fragrant orchids. I have miltoniopsis Lillian Nakamoto in bloom on 2 spikes right now. I love it! It is fragrant, citrusy, and not overwhelming. It is the first time it bloomed for me. I got it in March, it had a dry flower spike, so I wasn't sure if it would bloom till next year. I have it in LECA, and I water it by submerging once a day (for an hour or two).

Maybe do some mini phalaenopsis with some hoya's. I have 3 mini pals that I rescued & this year they were terrific in an opened wooden basket. They all bloomed around the same time & I just loved it.

Awesome vid Danni! I think we have the same mini phal! The color, shape, the lip and throat look exactly the same! My plant is also nice and small and I don't have an ID for her sadly, but she is my first phal to rebloom and is a sweet little thing in the collection! 😊 Have a wonderful day!

Help! I have many different types of orchids in several different types of medium but the paphiopediums have been my undoing. I live in SW Florida-We normally have a wet summer pattern with breezy conditions. This summer we have not had the breezy conditions but have had higher temps so I have my phrags on my lanai under fans in semi - hydro & loving it but I have my paphiopediums indoors. They are in a fairly constant temp of 78 degrees with humidity sl. less then 50% & doing awful. I had them in repot-me mix & they looked better then I noticed what looked like rot in the inner aspect of one plants fan. Next the new leaf growth turned yellow/brown. Lower leaf apexes also suffering. (I use tap water for them). I removed dead tissue & treated with cinnamon. Checked & once again trimmed dead roots (not many, since I think l caught it in time). Changed the medium to sphagnum moss & am hoping for the best especially since I plan on watering them from the bottom now. I was very careful not to get water in the crowns before but.... I heard these plants don't like high temps, or high to medium indirect light so I have been keeping them before & presently in a low light environment with good air movement. Now I am thinking of putting them outside in the same conditions as the phrags- bright indirect light, high humidity, great air movement but in sphagnum moss & in another pot so I too will not have to deal with algae & see what happens. What do you all think? I would appreciate any suggestions esp since this is an expensive hobby & I would hate to lose any more of these plants. Thanks

I recently bought a Slc called Indian Summer by a nursery here in Denmark that looks remarkably like your number 6. I just can't find the Slc Indian Summer anywhere so I guess it is not a registered name 😂 I really like this orchid so it really doesn't matter 😊 It is a tie between number 6 and the Cattleya jungle eyes - I think Jungle eyes win 🤩

Thank you for your video! :) You mentioned that you are looking for the Zygo which smells like hyacinths! In my country they sell them in Autumn as a more common orchid in one particular store. If you want, I can send you one as a gift. :)

Regarding the Parviflorae series of the genus Cattleya, yes they used to be called rupicolous Laelias, I think most people find them a challenge to grow (as a species, not in hybrids.) Though I had several hybrids that did well for me, the one time I tried a species I killed it (too cold outdoors where I grew.) And though they used to be called rupicolous, some don't grow on rocks but do grow on twigs. Don't know how commonly you can find them in European nurseries.

Hi, try to find orchid bark at your local garden centers or flower shops. If possible try to go for quality bark, rather than cheap mixes with soil. You'll have a much better time in the long run.
