Too many fools fell the sas trees instead of taking the extra time (and ropes and harnesses) to bark strip on site. Rule of thumb - if the tree is twice your height strip it and leave it, smaller ones you can chop and take.

The oil concentrates on the root bark and not so much on the tree trunk. The roots dry contain about 9% but when fresh due to water it can be as low as 1-3% which is why they don’t go for the bark on the trunk which contains a small fraction of what the roots contain and in an industrial setting even the bark on the trunk if it had the same percentage it wouldn’t even come close to the amount of bark found on the roots, even the root itself contains more safrole than the bark on the trunk but instead of cutting the tree down they could have digged up half the roots and allow the tree to regenerate. So yeah they are still ash0lesss for cutting tree down! Such a shame

Sassafras Albidium grows like a weed all a long the Eastern Seaboard from Maine to Florida. The species always has and does remain very small in most areas except for parts of Tennessee and North Carolina where Sassafras can be found in sizes of big and really big. Even in TN and NC it depends on where you're at one county where I lived was only very small sassafras trees the next County over in Maury County they got BIG. The species is able to reproduce traditionally by releasing seeds and also sends shoots up from its root system, clones,.at any time in every direction they are one of the most common species of trees to see in the hardwood forrest, just see mostly small ones.

I lost good friend PMA in 2000. A couple of corrections from a toxicologist. First, your government did not Schedule MDMA until 1986. Second, I promise you that the peak use of real MDMA was in the 1970s and 1980s. The "free years". The Rave scene was popular in the 1990s, not MDMA. PMA will prevent your body's ability to regulate its internal body temperature, hence the seizing, organ failure, and death. Finally, your body does not break down serotonin, it releases it in between cells where there are receptors that re-uptake it. There are compounds specifically enginneered to modify the re-uptake process and there is an entire class of pharmaceuticals that perfect it. They are referrred to as SSRIs, Selective Serotonin Re-uptake Inhibitors. Paxil, Prozac, Celexa, Zoloft, etc. the idea of reducing uptake is to keep a person feeling better which is why these are commonly used to treat depression. I hope that helps some.
