Wow, Jerry! The timing of the advertisement after you said, “And here’s what we looked like when we were children” was impeccable. In perfect synchronization the ad popped open and showed a young, buff black man working out with weights. I immediately thought, boy has Jerry changed over the years! I think the ads are randomly generated, but it was the funniest thing because my mind was set on what you and your sister would look like as kids. That certainly wasn’t what I was expecting. I can't think of anything I would change here in The Villages either. I know it's hard to be perfect, but I've got to say IMO, this place is very close to it! I like Prima also. I have never been happier either Linda, living here. This is the best decision I have ever made, to come here to live.......and look at all the wonderful people I have met being here, you and Jerry, my neighbors, my pool pals, all my Sisters in The Sunshine Chorus and my Friends in the greeting card making class! I will definitely be sending a card to the nice lady, Tina. Thank you for reminding us about her! Thanks fo another fantastic show! ❤❤

This is my 18 month anniversary living in The Villages, I love it here. The one thing I would change is the attitude of many companies who are convinced all Villagers are rich, not understand the reality more people worked & saved their whole life to afford to live here and enjoy the lifestyle. My Tip: Comparison shop & bid out your indoor upgrades or outdoor work.

I love Linda's heart. When she was talking about her friend Tina and I saw that she teared up it gave me pause. I will love sending Tina a note of encouragement and love, her situation brings out the best in others. Makes me wonder if that's the way God uses us, even in our suffering to bring out good in harder hearts. I see how God is using the two of you and that gives me pause as well. I sometimes have a harsh word to say here and there and I don't like myself when I do that. Believe it or not your little podcast here has made me look at myself and is teaching me things that are hard to look at. Did you ever think you'd have that affect on others? Keep doing what you're doing and be authentic and you can't lose. One last thing, have you guys thought of writing a book about your experiences pre-retirement and so on? Before you know it you'll be doing celebrity appearances. Always stay humble, not easy is this worldly world. 💞

For those that want The Villages to stop growing they fail to realize that it would be a death sentence to the local economy with the loss of 12000-15000 local jobs. Along what the loss of jobs in the construction industry there would be the loss of the spouses who work at other business throughout the community as they move away to find new jobs. Of course the question must be asked of these people, did The Villages become too large the day before or the day after you moved here?

We have seen them on multiple occasions here, but not very often.

I don’t live in The Villages so I really don’t have a say, but there are a few things I would change: 1. Mail delivery to your home, 2. more, better and accessible medical care/facilities and 3. maybe a few convenience stores, one in each village to get gas more easily or a cup of coffee that doesn’t cost $10.00. Honestly, I don’t even know how readily accessible gas stations are. I’m thinking not very. They don’t fit in with them general aesthetic of TV. The one major thing I would like changed is the quality and availability of GOOD medical care. This is at the top of my list for not choosing to move to The Villages after, of course, price of homes. I’m not saying they are unique in their expensive housing because they are not, but I won’t be house poor. If I want to buy something or fly somewhere I want the ability to do that and pay cash. I don’t charge anything. I wouldn’t be able to do that at present because I’d have to carry a mortgage which I would hate. I have a house which is paid for, but not valuable enough to rollover into a home 🏠 in The Villages. Other than that, I really would love it there.

You sound like me, Medical Care, like hospitals , urgent care, etccc. Before Covid , it seem cheaper , after Covid , homes in this region , the homes cost $400K and up.

Great show as always. Only thing I would change is the closing of the pools at dusk. I think the pools should be open 24/7 or at least 3 hours after sundown. Just my opinion.

If I could change one thing in the Villages it would be you should be allowed to have fences everywhere not just designated parts of the villages. We have two dogs now and we moved from practically a new house in the village of LaBelle to a pre-owned home in the village of St Charles.

The 5 G cell service needs to be greatly improved in the Villages. Also, better way to connect new people and more introverted residents. Lastly, limit rentals to a month. Airbnb’s are a business being run out (and in) the house literally. Better 5 G would allow realtime immediate security information to give the various departments
