I made it really far with the P-40 before I improved as a player, just by headon-ing people and refusing to blink first. A lot of times, they would ram me... But I'd survive and go repair. Funniest sh@t.

You see for me, I just sit and study the flight performance of not only the aircraft I'm flying, but also what I'm fighting. For instance, in tier one when I was flying the F3F I just went into a rate fight with everyone because I knew that I could (for the most part) out turn basically anything I'm going up against. But for tier 7 when I was flying the F-4E, I tried to pick my fights carefully. There was no way I was gonna fight an F-16 in an F-4 lol (unless I was under very specific conditions.). As you can see I have absolutely 0 life lol I do head ons here and there for shits and giggles but generally I try not to do that, especially in the later tiers when doing that is like a 50/50 chance of surviving now.

Nah I completely understand lol My aim is pretty bad too a lot of times but air arcade is good to help you get better at aiming. I'd recommend going into some air RB custom battles at some point and practice your aim there too since you won't lose anything if you get shot down.

As someone who plays USA planes only, let me tell you that you can do everything right and will still lose 85-90% of the time. That’s just how the game is rigged. BnZ is great. Until you’re the only fighter left cause it took you 12 minutes to climb to 18,000ft. You make one dive and the bf109 turns away from you and wouldn’t ya know it there is another bf109 above you waiting for you to bleed your speed climbing back up. Or my favorite is the spitfire/bf109/fw190/j2m’s/yaks…every plane that isn’t American basically. You can BnZ past them they will j turn out and come back and somehow never be more than .46 miles away from you and dot you with 1 bullet and your plane will go into 3 pieces.

In order to own effective jets at jet tier, you should research the F2H2 Banshee, also i recommend P400, P39N, P39Q, P63 A10 they are the best of their tier clearly, especially when you are fighting against a German Fighter which is able to climb fast and spit hell to you. If you are a competitive player, it is a good idea to avoid from P47D and its variations. They are extremely slow, however if you have patient, Mustangs which come after these P47 are quite good for RB.

closer to top tier, F-100 is completely agonizing, F-4C is flareless but otherwise an excellent 10.0, the F-8E and F-4J are absolutely insane at 10.3 and 11.3 (it can be argued that they are the best in those BR brackets), the A-7s are hopelessly overtiered, the F-4E sucks at air-to-air at 11.0 without PD radar but is kinda crazy in air-to-ground attacking, the F-14A is probably the most complex plane to fly effectively but is still the best all-around, and the F-16A ADF has more thrust than a gamma ray burst

Optimal way of using american props. Dont waste time trying to climb so enemy team is already dead by the time you get somewhere. Just try to dogfight in low altitude and head on and try to get few kills despite your plane being clearly not built for that.

rank 1,2,3 etc doesn't mean much for gameplay. BR is who you're fighting. BR 2.0 can fight anyone from 1.0 to 3.0. and until you get top tier, you can't be placed into a match with anyone more than 1 BR difference than you. so if you're playing a 2.0 plane, your match could consist of BR1-2(full downtier) or BR2-3(full uptier), or an even smaller range like BR1.7 - 2.0 (slight downtier).
