Suck up all your money, let you work for them, and get you nothing in return. What makes the USA so much better than other countries today at providing this "dream" you are talking about, exactly? "work hard & smart and you will achieve anything you desire." Is that what your mom and dad told you? Do you still believe it? Because it's everything but true, especially in the US. Do you know anyone who achieved it? Or are you all average worker class working their ass off for their government? Here is what they do: They stuff you up with all that propaganda from your first breath. Allegedly, "america" is the greatest country in the world. They put you in schools, designed to keep you as dumb as possible, so you know nothing about other countries and ideas, but "america" and capitalism is great. They tell you about this great democracy, but does anything in your country ever change in the favour of the people that have voted in your two party system? So then they give you this food. Full of additives that make you sick that are not allowed anywhere else in the world, and fast food is cheap. Healthy eating is expensive. Then when you get sick you have your healthcare system, wich is incredible efficient at sucking up all your money. It is so inefficient at kepping people healthy, people have to pay it individually instead of establishing a public healthcare system you pay for with certain taxes. But the thing is - you, as the average middle class aren't even benefitting from it. Because the super rich don't pay their part to it. It is a blessing for the super rich, but the less you earn, the more painful it gets, to the point of having millions of people in your country with extremely high medical debts. So the already super rich wich established this system are even more rich and happy, everyone else suffers. Billionares pay an average of 8% tax. The rich get richer and richer, the poor get poorer and poorer. Then you have your guns wich they taught you to see them as flashy toys, and your gun manufactures and corrupt politicians are all extremely happy, while people get butchered and murdered. It is actually a great circle. They tell you, you need a gun as "self defense", and so they bring in their western times amendment wich they hold to this day, wich allows everyone to just buy guns. Unregistered. So they tell you, you can protect yourself, but what they don't tell you is that they also hand out guns to criminals, obviously. So you keep buying guns to "protect" yourself, when you get surrounded by more and more guns wich makes it unsafer. So it's a great circle, wich ends up in having more guns than humans in the country, obviously with happy bllionares and corrupt politicians, while people die. And they also don't have to spend any money on social services. That's great, for them. Not for you though. So you end up as an american dumbass, that just repeats all the propaganda they stuffed down your throat, and the super rich couldn't be happier, while you don't realize you're getting robbed, and your people suffer once they fall down the hole. Yes. That's the american dream. The point is just that it is unacheviable unless you are born in the super rich your country is run by. That's why you have to be asleep to believe in it.

ihr habt einen wichtigen Punkt vergessen: Der Grund warum der American Dream in Amerika möglich war. Der Grund war das in Europa und anderen Länder zu der Zeit eine starke Rangordnung herrschte (Adel und sowas) genau das war der Grund weshalb so viele Einwanderer kamen, da sie nie die Möglichkeit hatten in ihrem Land einen solchen Erfolg wie ihn der American Dream versprach zu erreichen. Dazu kommt noch das Amerika keine Kultur hatte, da es eben nur von Einwanderen besiedelt war die alle eine andere Kultur hatten und Amerika aufgrund der "späten" Entdeckung nie die Möglichkeit eine eigene Kultur zu bilden. Jo ich glaub das war's. Bitte verbessert mich wenn was falsch ist oder ich was vergessen hab.

glaub zwar nicht das dir das jetzt noch hilft aber nein! das sind die 'First settlers' oder 'pilgrim fathers' also die ersten, meist Puretanischen (so ne Art Abspaltung der Christlichen Religion) Menschen die sich in Amerika nieder gelassen haben. the 'frontier' ( das heißt sowas wie sich immer weiter in den Westen verschiebende grenze) oder auch 'move westward' hat den Pazifik 1890 erreicht. das ist also verbunden mit Ausdehnung (expansion) und damit mit 'Manifest destiny' (man sieht also wie hier verschiedene Terme zusammen gehören) zum frontier gehört aber nicht nur die geografische Überschreitung von Grenzen sondern auch zb Technologie, Wissenschaft, 'Weltraum-reisen', medizin...
