There’s a neighborhood adjacent to Jamaica called Kew Gardens…which I believe you also have in England. It’s a beautiful area where Charlie Chaplin once lived, and I lived for a number of years. Remember that at the birth of the silent film industry in America, all production was done in the Tri-state area before moving to Hollywood. Adjacent to Kew Gardens is Forest Hills/Forest Hills Gardens, which is even more affluent. Both locations, as well as Jamaica, have stops on the LIRR, so it’s a quick commute from Manhattan.

Astoria, Long Island City, & Whitestone Queens, as well as Greenpoint, B'klyn. Lots of character and cool "hole in the wall" type pubs/bars. At least they did when I was there in the early-late 80's. Everyone of those places is probably a Starbucks or Panda Express by now. Check out a NYC place that starts serving drinks to the regulars at 7AM. Thanks for your videos. I enjoy watching your travels!
