Yep, Pastor Tim hasn't been as annoying as previous seasons. The fact that Gaad died, possibly because of what Philip knew makes it worse :(

(Spoilers) What you said about the connection between Pastor Tim and Stan, and about the connection between Oleg and Stan-now having seen the way the series ended, it must be interesting to see how those connections saved Phil and Elizabeth in the finale. If Pastor Tim had betrayed them, they wouldn’t have escaped, and it was also definitely because of Oleg. Stan knew that Oleg had literally given up his life for that information in the dead drop, which confirmed that what Philip said about the conspiracy was true AND that it was as important as Philip said it was. It was Oleg’s sacrifice that saved them in the end, because Stan was able to believe that Philip was serious when he said that the future depended on their getting home to expose the plot. That would all have sounded like complete BS if not for Stan’s relationship with Oleg.

I think Gaad's death gave Stan an epiphany, that at some point you have give yourself permission to do something you think is right, because if you just get led by the pressure of your circumstances it becomes a never ending cycle of grief. It's kind of a lower stakes version of Nina's decision at the start of the season.

i've started to notice every time you upload there's immediately 1 dislike every time, apparently you managed to really offend someone lol. I find that hilarious. I don't think Stan "cares" about Oleg per say, i think it's more like they have mutual respect for each other. They're both in this crazy lifestyle where even amongst their peers they can't be totally honest. Oleg is about the only person on the planet that Stan can actually talk to about Nina etc. I don't think Stan would be upset if Oleg died because he actually cares about him but i think it's more like Stan feels guilty about what happened to Vlad, and to Nina, and to Gad (he feels responsible for Gad since he played a hand in Gad getting fired) and he realizes how wrong all of this is, and he just doesn't want to be responsible for yet another human being dying, even if it is the enemy. Plus with Sandra. I think he sees that his lifestyle is pushing away, hurting, and killing everyone he ever cared about, including his own moral decay, and he just wants it to stop. I am sooo fascinated by your thoughts on pastor tim, i have been since the beginning. your interpretation of him is wildly different than mine and its so interesting. I really feel like Pastor Tim is one of the most interesting characters i've watched, he just never seems to do what you expect, yet everything he does makes sense.

Oh yeah, that has happened almost every single video since we started Ozark (our first show) lol they still took the time to click on our video though so good for us! The Stan thing though is very interesting, it's been really difficult to read his relationship with Oleg but it totally makes sense the way you're looking at it. Pastor Tim hasn't been as annoying this season but he does add a lot of depth to Elizabeth and Paige. He definitely keeps us guessing!

Agree, another top episode. Elizabeth seeking solace from Pastor Tim gave us a great line "all that matters is how we treat each other.” The violence was unexpected and brutally short and sadly what happens too often in real life.
