There are 2 reasons I love 40k and both can be seen here. 1. Those awesome epic moments when either the training weights come off or where raw faith or will make the main character get back up and open a whole 'nother can of butt kicking. You feel these in your chest, and I am there for it. 2. There are so many things that happen that could have several entirely lore friendly explinations. For example, was the Anchorite filled with the power of the Emperor? Maybe. Or he could have been filled with the power of the warp manifestation of the Emperor brought on by millenia of worship by hundreds of trillions of devotees. Or it could be that he was imbued by the power of the faith generated by the Imperial Faith. Who knows

After Angron was found, he took part in an internal revolt of sorts to try and stop the butchers nails being adopted for the entire legion, but after the Centurion who led the rebellion was killed by Khârn he had to bend the knee to Angron, interestingly, he was spared the butchers nails given his status as a Dreadnought. He didn't take part in Isstvan III and could only watch, deeply horrified as his fellow War Hounds were killed upon that planet, but remained loyal to his Legion and to Angron, fast-forward to the Shadow Crusade, as Angron was being transformed into a Daemon Prince by Lorgar, Primarch of the Word Bearers, Lhorke attempted to stop this by attacking the Urizen, only to be sadly attacked and torn apart by Angron as he was transforming. While Lhorke wasn't like Huron Fal or Rylanor who fought on Isstvan III, he did try to halt his Legion's corruption to The Blood God by stopping his Primarch's apotheosis, plus considering he didn't have the butchers nails, he had to see how his Legion of once noble and honourable warriors turned into bloodthirsty beserkers, he's not as well known but I still like to give him credit as a Loyalist Dreadnought from a Traitor Legion because if he did get sent to Isstvan III, he would've fought like Rylanor did. (Sorry for the super long reply, But I felt like Lhorke deserved the length)
