The Andrea Nistler “situation”? This isn’t a “situation.” Practice what you preach, and don’t make it one.

It definitely is, have you seen the comments sections.. it’s wild. As usual. And this topic needs to be discussed it’s really important. Best I can do is defend her and discuss the topic at the same time.

Andrea Nisler “situation” is none of your business. It doesn’t require any more “conversation” . Every woman’s health and fitness level are different and is individualized. It’s between the woman and her medical team.

So you didn’t watch the video then 😂 I literally said that. Why are you so mad 😂😂😂
@sportybeth7 ай бұрын
The topic as a whole DOES require conversation whether you like it or not. You don’t have to engage with it.
@ElsbethSmith-kw8tq7 ай бұрын
@@sportybeth you are not even close to Andrea’s fitness level so how does what Andrea does postpartum even impact you? If you want discussion maybe it should revolve around your choice to continue to exercise during pregnancy despite passing out and being sick during your workouts.

@@sportybeth for 9 plus months you have been unable to run, row, ski erg, burpees what makes you think you would be able to “ compete in hyrox” before 9 months postpartum?
@karabooXD7 ай бұрын
@@ElsbethSmith-kw8tq like she said, you didn't watch the video. You seem to think that because she doesn't fit the "fit girl" stereotype that she can't have an opinion. This wasn't a critique.

Andrea is clearly very fit unlike the rest of us... good on her.. your doing the right thing not over doing it.

Brianna Battles has a great postpartum program that i followed that starts 1 week after birth (for vaginal births I believe). Battled PPA and PPD, and it made me feel so good.

12 weeks leave *unpaid* from the federal gov, IF you’ve worked for your employer for a year or more. Depending on state and employer you can get short term disability for 8 weeks, not sure if that is 100% of pay everywhere. The US is stupid to mothers.
@sportybeth7 ай бұрын
Gosh I’m so sorry you have to deal with that that’s absolutely insane!! If that was the case in the UK I think so many people I know (myself included) probably wouldn’t be able to afford to have children.
@sportybeth7 ай бұрын
I’ve just realised that means after 12 weeks you’re expected to either stay off and quit or go back to work and pay extortionate amounts for childcare 🤯🤯 so crazy

I’m a man so, in a sense, I have no business commenting but I have to say how is it anyone’s business what she (or you) or anyone does?
@sportybeth7 ай бұрын
Yeah exactly, I did say that in the video 😁

Then why make a video about it??

Paying for healthcare in the us does not mean you get good care. Even with insurance it’s not guaranteed
@amazonorchid13217 ай бұрын
Agreed. Quality is not guaranteed.

Yeah finding good healthcare here is like finding a unicorn 🦄 lol

Urgh that sucks!! I’m sorry to hear that. I kind of presumed if you pay you must get more control over what kind of care you get and have the ability to shop around too. Though I definitely don’t think it’s a positive that you have to pay. I think everyone should have free healthcare. It’s worth the slightly higher taxes.

Them haters need to stop being keyboard warriors! Respect others and give others the props they deserve:) We are all different and our recovery is indeed different:) I can do a full crossfit workout 10 minutes after a major asthma attack and seizure and all of this at age 50! We all do what we need to keep positive and motioning forward. Active recovery in my case is the best, so i do understand this well 😊 😊😊 Let the positivity glow and lets all stop judging😂

In the U.S. women often go back to work in just a few weeks postpartum. We don't have any national paid leave, or any specific amount of time off that women are allowed to take off. It's ridiculous. Some states, like mine (Oregon) have a short term disability payment, but I think most don't.
@sportybeth7 ай бұрын
Oh my god that’s so awful!! I honestly don’t think I could even have kids in that sort of system. I hope it changes ❤️

No pay in Ohio unless you use vacation and sick time. I've had 8-and went back to work after 1 or 2 weeks bc I couldn't afford to be off without pay. I had a FAMILY member threaten to put me, my 3yo, and brand new baby out bc I missed ONE weekly rent payment that took almost half my paycheck😂. And none of that money was used to help me get a new place. "It's great you had a new baby and she's healthy. But your rent still needs paid on time or maybe its time you find a place of your own.) I had to borrow money from a different family member for a month, to pay the ones I i stayed with. America sucks for moms.
