@@ricktaylor3748 Don and Andy played off of each other, very well! The show wasn't anywhere near as good after Don left, and the show was colorized. Andy wasn't nearly as outgoing and playful as he once was. "The Andy Griffith Show" and "All In the Family" have to be my TV shows, of all time. I also liked; Cheers, Seinfeld, Sanford and Son, Gilligan's Island, Good Times, Beverly Hillbillies, Gomer Pyle, Little House on the Prairie, The X-Files, Soap, Kolchek The Night Stalker and The Bradycardia Bunch, among others. I hope that Everyone had a wonderful Christmas and that all of us have a Wonderful New Year! 💚🙏💚❄️🎀☃️🙏

Don and Andy were both great actors. The way he pulls off the "Know-It-All" type character, backing himself into a corner, is so realistic to the ones we meet in real life, it's hilarious. I was in grade school when this was on the air. There were race riots, anti-war riots, news reports about horrible things American and Vietnamese were doing to each other in SE Asia. I would have had severe PTSD if I hadn't watched these to experience these "documentaries", which seemed closer to the boyhood of playing in the fields, hunting reptiles, throwing snowballs at girls (much to my regret when I went through puberty) and coming up with clever schemes to get money for penny candy.
