"All Night Long" was produced by no other than Frank Zappa...!!! Love the Animals almost since I started listen to Rock music. And this particular album always is in a special place...

Frank wrote that song, but Tom Wilson was the producer of the album, and in all likelihood brought Frank into this production, having recently overseen Freak Out, the first Mothers album.

Can you say CLASSIC? That’s about the best adjective I can think of to describe this LP. Stands the test of time. Eric Burden is one of the all time greatest rock/blues singers. The Animals were super groovy. Please upload more of their LPs as a public service. The world needs more medicine like this. A healthy dose of blues and classic rock will do us all good.

The Animals were so good. I actually prefer their first two or three American albums (Animal Tracks being transitional) more than the sound on Animalization and this, but they could do no wrong. Even without Price. This is a great album. Love hearing their take on "That's the Other Side of This Life" -- I only knew the Peter, Paul and Mary version before hearing this, which I love in its own right. The Yardbirds may have been a more innovative band, but for pure blues rock in terms of raw listening value, I don't think anyone touches The Animals. The original Animals, at least. I'm not especially familiar with their music beginning with Burdon's reconstitution of the band after this album (or, before the release of this album, technically). But Animals, Animals on Tour, Animal Tracks, Animalization, and Animalism are stellar. One of the rare cases where I look to the American discography instead of the British -- a bit more chronologically confused, inevitably, but more complete, and also I didn't like the reverb added to the British album Animalisms, at all.

I have not listened to this album in over 30 yrs although I wore out two prior original LP's The animals inspired me w their tributes of the Am forefathers music and their rawness is their own contribution to the R&B music
