For those of you using 3D Skin layers and are seeing glitches, try removing that mod!

I've had minimal problems with 3D Skin Layers myself, so far anyway. It should be compatible, though I guess is different for everyone.

To any fellow hermitcraft fans, bdubs apparently blinked in his recent episode, I think he might've used this mod. Also, loved the ending of you singing bad, gave me a good laugh

He used ETF on its own, which blinks in a different way! He doesn’t get eye movements though. I’d actually been using that for months before bdubs found it, and then now I’ve switched to this right when he started using it. I can’t wait to see if this ever gets 3x3 eye support. Scar’s reaction to his current blink was hilarious. This would be even better

I wish this pack worked for my skin, Fresh Moves does support the 1 by 3 eye SHAPE. But those are only 2 pixels apart, while mine are 4 pixels apart. And it just looks cross-eyed when I move them to only be 2 pixels apart.

Very cool! Hope to see more updates down the road. My eyes don't really work with it right now, basically Scar's eyes so 2x2 area but 1x1 pupil pixel in the corner which I spent an hour trying to get working but instead I just went crosseyed. And my eyes keep going above my hair which doesn't seem right.

You should check out the realistic villagers texture pack on modrinth . It matches really well with the expressions and it has fresh animations support aswell

Entity Texture Features (its the mod that add the texture part of Entity Mode Features) has a simpler blink animation for skins and it’s compatible with this mod as it uses different parts of the texture file So you will still blink when people don’t have this texture pack but do have ETF Hope this helps people

ETF has its own blink, going to the wiki or ingame settings should how it, it’s just simple frames but it does work quite nicely

@@konijnebeer I used it before I found this resource pack! But it's not the same blinking. ETF's adds whole frames to your skin that it switches between. Fresh Moves has some coding magic behind the scenes to make the animations work instead. So for ETF's animations yes, you can see them without a resource pack and just the mod, but for Fresh Moves, you will need it

yippee!! hopefully they add a thing for multiple eyes, i think that'd be cool :D Skins with 3 eyes, even 4 eyes, or even eyes on the sides of the face (like some animal skins) would be AWESOME, i think overall a update that allows you to freely set where your characters eyes are (instead of having pre-sets) would be great.

I was really excited to try this for the skins I've made for some people, but unfortunately they feel too confident. Dang, I got it to work in single player, though they didn't have my eye type so I had to wing it to make it "work", I just have "long eye lashes" when I blink now is all, lol. Looks good with glasses but because of the wrong eye type, my skin's face looked SO tired, was hecking funny. 🤣 But sadly doesn't work on multiplayer for me. Which is a shame, not sure if it's due to not having server side support, or it's because of the server I play on itself. It's a public server with ALOT of custom stuff, which is what I assume is causing the issues 🤔nothing can be done about it since I'm just a player on the server lol so wouldn't know what's causing the issue. Oh well, was fun seeing in single player so thanks for this, wouldn't have known if your video didn't pop in my recommended. 😊 I don't really feel comfortable joining discords so my journey with this pack ends here, not a big deal I rarely look at my skin anyways, was just a moment of curiosity XD

It should be fully client side! I'm not sure what the problem could be. because it's just a resource pack and some client side mods, you should be able to use it most places. Is it not letting you connect, or are your eyes just not animated?

@@layncemc Then yeah, I think it's cause of the custom stuff on the server since this is client side 🤔 The server has a custom resource pack that kind of overrides others, I did move this resource pack for the eyes to the top, but didn't fix it. One eye becomes the color of the eyelid, and the other keeps blinking in and out black to colored. The animation is working just visually not working. I thought maybe it was the black out eyes issue, but the mod interfaces you showed look a little diff from mine. Server runs in 1.20.1 So maybe that's the issue? I'll try again when the server updates If still fails then it's the forced resource pack that comes with the server which I can't remove. 😅

@@K1nla If what I think is happening is happening, the only thing I can think of is you either have the eyes in the wrong spot on your skin, you have customskinloader installed still (that causes problems now), or its the server messing stuff up. One thing that I've heard many people have issues with is 3d skin layers. if you have that installed, you'll have to remove it

​ @layncemc I uninstalled 3D skins (only one I had you mentioned) Was still broken on server though. So I installed another server, the eyes are working just fine on the other server =facepalm= it's my server itself that's breaking the face in such a weird way. Like, the left eye lid was black but the eye was the correct colors. And the right eye took diff shades of brown from somewhere of my skin for whatever reason. Animation was working fine just broken because of the wrong colors haha. Dang, nothing I can really do to fix it then🤔. Only server I play on, maybe someday I can do a petition for them to make it compatible on the server lol. thanks for trying to help though :)
