@@LukeHearfield the theme song for the apprentice show

@@MrGMovieReviews OHHHHHHHHH!! Hahahaha again I’ve never seen the show so I don’t know the music you’re referring too 😆 My guess is that it probably isn’t in the film because the soundtrack choices are specific to the time in history and as the film doesn’t even get to the creation of the apprentice TV show I doubt they would feature it. But who knows? Maybe I’m dead wrong hehehe. 🤣

The ending is actually Trump talking to the ghostwriter of The Art of the Deal and you see him building uo a new persona for himself - and he repeats things Coh used to say as his own, basically a version of Roy Cohn, becoming him and pretending like he was always that.

Kinda like a low budget movie, Something like Adam Schiff would produce before elections. The actor doing Trump looks more like David Spade but I don't think they would pay enough to get him. I wonder why they don't make a Bill And Hillary movie that would really be interesting.

Interesting that you say it toned down on trump to show a more human side. Especially because Gabe Sherman is the writer who made his career going after Fox News and paining Roger Alies as ultra Christian which in reality wasn’t the case he famously fired Glenn beck because he talked about god to much. Also one other interesting things was Gabe who wrote a lot about Roger never cracked the case about the abuse of women. How did he miss that.

I believe due to the political climate in the US, The Apprentice will fail to find US distribution in 2024 so will not be eligible for the Oscars.
@LukeHearfield7 ай бұрын
It’s an interesting theory, one I had t considered given the callibre of its performances. All they would need to do is put in cinemas for a week though to make it eligible. I’m sure there’s an appetite for this film. X
@FrakkinToasterLuvva7 ай бұрын
That makes no sense. Due to the political climate, this movie will get more atention and would potentially earn a lot of profit, especially with both elections and Trump's lawsuit, plus a lot of people will want to watch it exactly for that reason. Why would you pass that opporunity and instead have the US people watch it illegally after it's released in the rest of the world?

If you weren't familiar with Roy Cohen you should check out the recent Emmy nominated series Fellow Travelers and the excellent mini series Angels in America, both of which provide a lot of info about who this man was. He is worthy of a film or series himself. Just terrible on so many levels

Angels in America is an amazing play, and I think the HBO series also adapted it really well. Didn't Al Pacino play Roy Cohn? It's been so long since I've seen it.

Alternatively the film "Goodnight and Good luck". will tell you all you need to know about Roy Cohen, the most evil person in the 1950s. He taught Trump how to be more evil than Cohen himself.

I will pass on this movie because of the subject matter; i however think this movie will take off like sound of freedom. The movie seems to be doing well overseas so i think there's gotta to be an American distributor who wants some of that money pot.
