For Crystal Maiden: The newer roost skin actually integrates with the CM Arcana, voiding the need to purchase or equip the lower part of the roost set

Oh very cool I didn't know, thanks. It seems that valve has been really conscious lately of releasing Rare sets that overlap with Arcanas and the natural solution was the Hero base for Jugg & Pudge. There are a few sets that overlap with single items like PA's head. I'm pretty certain we will see another hero base added some time soon.

There is already an update on techies items happened in dota git codebase. It updates the effects and particles. Maybe it's a preparation for the hero base change on arcana

They will probably eventually split all arcanas, but its not worth buying stuff in advance and waiting just for profit. They will probably split like 2-3 a year depending on which set is released.

You never really know with valve, either we are getting every arcana split, or just one here and there whenever they drop a new rare set for a hero with an arcana…or, only the two will ever be split already are. The market is already anticipating the possibility of it happening so if you want any of these items, it’s worth buying them before another arcana gets split and causes everything to jump. “Just” for profit, nothing is worth buying unless you have a tip.

Some arcanas?yes. But to all arcanas?No, they won't. As uknow valve won't make such boring things, and it would awkward to see lc use 2 big spears on both hands 😅. I gues Some arcana that should be moved to base slot are tb, ogre, sf or else that have it on head slot

@@twentyfirst3442 it wouldn’t be two giant spears. It would just be the arcana flags and an equip item alone, with the weapons another. So you can get the custom duel effect with a full spear instead of swords. I just listed the three possibilities. But I completely disagree. I don’t think it’s boring at all and valve clearly understands this is something players value, if it helped the popularity of collectors cache 2024. Why those specifically? Head slot isn’t any different to any other slot, it just depends on the quality of the items that exist in the same slot. Ogre has nothing worth taking, and so do many others on head slots. It’s literally the entire point of the video.

I’m quite certain act 4 is another regular crownfall treasure and a sticker capsule. I’m happy to be wrong but I’m not anticipating a second collectors cache this year. However there is still a random pirate themed techies set hanging around in the game files and I have no clue what for…

Idk if this video was before the update, but Valve has made Arcana components into Legendary rarity, so I am pretty sure there will probably 1 big arcana update after TI. Which will make me happy as a Skywrath enjoyer with Red wings and Gold staff

My issue in these changes would be "consistency of colors and models" Juggs arcana have 2 styles (Orange and Blue) that means Valve needs to recolor or add an arcana style 2 to almost all head item similar to what they did to the new Set. If they do that trend every heroes with colored style arcanas must have arcana colors to their immortals and normal sets to obtain color consistency. another issue would be "hero model" the likes of Rubick and CM are floating in their arcana state, that means every normal cape and them the hero MUST be modeled to be floating whatever cape they equipped as long the are the arcana model another issue would be Immortal + Arcana spell changes, this only applies to some hero like Vengeful Spirit, her arcana changes all her spells, but her immortal wings changes her 1st skill, if these item where to combine, Valve needs to remodel some or blend both effects well. A good example for this was Faceless Void arcana + all of Immortal Aeons items now merge last issue would be kinda bit irrelevant, but in lore standpoints, what makes the arcana. Juggs arcana stated that his mask was cleaved opened, but it never specifically said "what mask?" so the change suits well, this also applied to Pudge, we never know what Pudge's look like when he found the Chains(arcana) so it works. BUT some heroes arcana is what makes them arcana, PA was given the 2 doubles that makes her the arcana, Rubick obtain the cape, that what makes him arcana, Both Veng and Skywrath attain new powers changing their Wings (as seen in the comic) Though this issue isn't that important

Yeah I considered mentioning a few things you touched on. Notably the Arcanas that use different hero models - but it's not terribly complex to allow other cosmetics on those models. Void, spectre & a few others already map their existing cosmetics fine onto new models without any changes. Thanks for the comment
