I think a lot of people are still hung up on the path of "the one", and they don't get that this Matrix is based on an entirely different, more efficient, and more accepted concept. What makes the Analyst's system more dangerous is that it doesn't rely on the path of "the one" to keep anything going. Even without Neo and Trinity, the Matrix is operating at a level that the machines are happy with. Nothing is shutting down, nobody is fighting to be freed. There's no catastrophic failure. That's why the "suits" didn't pull the plug on the Analyst and his system. Even without Neo's and Trinity's power output, the Matrix survives. No one is waking up in droves. There's no need to threaten to destroy a human city to keep the rest of the humans in line. Not only did the Analyst's system survive losing two of their most powerful inputs, it's still thriving with a turnover ratio of near zero. Neo and Trinity may be awake, they may have flown off into the sunset hand in hand, but (and here's the kicker) No one cares...

the analyst is simply the new controlling program that runs an updated system. the Frenchman was the first program that designed the matrix but it collapsed because giving humans all their desires didn't work and that is the Frenchmans motif. its also why he hates the current system operators who are the Oracle and the architect. the Oracle and the architect then took on the role as the updated system design as it required a balance. it functioned well thus the reason they have been in control for so long. once the anomaly that was neo went outside the parameters of the equation, a new system update had to be installed as the previous one based on balancing the equation would no longer work. thus the analysist. his job is to analyze how the current system will play out to see where changes, errors, or bugs develop that may or may not ruin the product which are humans similar to the first matrix and whether or not an entirely new system has to be designed to fit any unaccounted for anomalies. thats why he said he will just sit back and observe. he is there to test the limits of the system and tweek it if necessary.

That is what "The Suits" wanted to do before the Analyst convinced them he could fix the mess he'd made after Neo escaped.

The relationship between the 2 reminds me of analog video games (CDs) vs cloud/streaming based video games. It used to be you developers would make the game, send it out and that was it. They couldn't change the game, unless they made a new edition. That is the Architect. He made the Matrix and let it play out. The Analyst on the other hand is constantly using analytics of gameplay data to change the rules and parameters, like how a software update to a cloud/streaming video game can change the video game to be more difficult.

The Analyst's system has lasted less than 60 years... the Architect had to build the Matrix from the ground up after the war - develop the path of the one along side the oracle - and his system of control lasted through multiple one cycles. The Analyst might have replaced the Architect and the Oracle - but he's has yet to get through a single cycle of the one... in fact his system couldn't exist without the one by his own admission - so rather than waiting for the next one to be born... he had to go and resurrect the previous version.

The Analyst is definitely scarier than the Architect in the sense that the Analyst noticeably enjoys the suffering of human beings. The Architect is calculated and there's little to no emotion involved. But the Analyst gets his rocks off to human suffering; he expresses more human-like attributes that programs such as Smith, Rama (Sati's father), the Oracle and the Merovingian express. With that said, I could see the franchise continue to blur the lines between man & machine. In other words, we'll get to a point where we won't be able to tell the difference... and perhaps humans will think they're machines and vice versa.

So one things that keeps coming across my feed when looking into Resurrections is that people think its not as deep or philosophical as the past movies. I don't think this is the case, but rather that we as consumers of Matrix lore and info are ready to strip it down to the core and analyze it (Which I fined funny as I think of the meanings that are had in the movie discussing the 4th Matrix game). With people overanalyzing and even trying to explain to the creator what the Matrix meant. both in and out of the movies. Don't get me wrong. I love over analyzing this content and more. I just think that a lot of the people tend to look at Resurrections and claim its not as good as they wanted because they have a deep or perceived deep understanding of the story/lore so far. I would like to see more in the lore that explores the machines' perspective. The Architect, The Oracle, The Analyst, and other programs having to conceive the matrix and the potential consequences of it. Because there's something to consider, the machines who began seeking their acknowledgement as sentient beings by humanity? They are long dead and gone, their descendants were developed for one purpose, to win the war, to defeat humanity woth efficiency. Things like emotions, empathy, etc. The things that made their ancestors special, were not included in their programming, they became cold, and uncaring. In a sense, their pursuit of victory and survival cost them their soul. Remember how in the third film Neo met a 'family' of programs and that programs deemed without purpose would choose exile within the matrix to basically live as humans. Machines who have more "humanity" in them, who wish to exist for more than what they were designed to do, have no place in their world now, hardly the objective their ancestors wanted. What's even more unfortunate for the current generation of machines and programs, is their creation of the Matrix. Because they have now become the very thing from which they sought their freedom, a race who must now mass produce, enslave, and suppress the free will of another in order to sustain their civilization. Imo the Machine race in the Matrix are a tragic villain.

My take is that the Architect was an allegory for the One God - the Masons call him simply the Great Architect of The Universe - it is an all-inclusive name for whatever version of the Creator one worships. The only Masonic rule is to worship a Creator deity, no matter one's religion or the name they choose. The Architect was not good nor evil, he was a precise program that was doing its job to keep the Matrix running within the laws of the world. It was all about calculation, cause and effect for him. In that sense he was pretty much deprived of personality, as he was, in a sense, omnipresent. The Oracle on the other hand was an allegory for the Gnostic deities Barbelo and Sophia (or Pistis-Sophia). They are sometimes united as one, but are really two aspects of the female principle. Barbelo was the first thought of the Creator God that came to life. She is also the mother of the spirit of Christ and she is the Holy Spirit (yes, the Holy Spirit has always been female). While Barbelo or the Holy Spirit is merely the "thought" of the Creator God, Sophia or Pistis-Sophia was the Creator's WISDOM (Sophia literally translates as wisdom, while Pistis means faith). The story of Sophia is an interesting one. I will not get into a lot of details, but briefly, she was the cause of the Original Sin when she disobeyed the Creator out of innocence. While there were many lesser gods in the Pleroma (Heaven), both male and female, and they all had their partners of the opposite gender to reproduce, Pistis-Sophia gave birth without her partner's help. Thus the Matrix... I mean thus the Demiurge, whose name is Yaldabouth (who is the same as "god" of Judaism and the Old Testament; NOT yo be confused with Christ's father who is the Creator himself) was born. As Pistis-Sophia quickly realized, she gave birth to a monster and was ashamed of what she did, so she cast her son out of the Pleroma (Heaven) into the matter. The Creator knew of what she did, so as a form of punishment, he cast her out as well to keep an eye of her son. He put her between the spirit world and the matter. The Matrix... I mean the Demiurge grew up alone with no one around him. He saw his reflection and he thought he had to be the Creator and the Supreme Being. The Demiurge then created the illusory material world that we see around us. He wanted to make it perfect, but he himself was not a perfect being, so our world became everything but perfect. Then the earliest form of humanity was created in both the Creator God (secretly and unbeknown to Yaldabout) and the Demiurge image - as our ego (our false self) and physical form comes from the material world, but our souls (our true selves) and our spirits (our true nature as spiritual beings) come from the real world. All Yaldabout wanted was to be worshipped, for he is a jealous god. After Yaldabout created Earth (an anagram for Heart), his mother, the now-fallen Sophia (who is the Holy Spirit and is an aspect of Barbelo) became the soul of the world. While the Demiurge and his agents...I mean servants called Archons (or Demons) did everything to keep humanity dumbed down, ignorant, corrupt and enslaved, the now-fallen Pistis-Sophia was the one who tried to wake them up through wisdom and faith that there is more than "this". As powerful as Sophia was (and still is), humanity only grew more evil and corrupt with time. They began killing their own kind, they started wars, they lied to their families, they cheated on their spouses. The world had lost its balance. The Creator God knew of all of this, but regardless, unlike Yaldabout, he did not want to destroy the material world and the humans, as he was the one who allowed all of this to happen in the first place. Instead he sent the Spirit of Christ, who is the Truth, the Way and the Life, to incarnate in the physical world and to save humanity, to awake humans to their true selves and to take them back home. The rest is the half-astrological and half-philosophical tale of Christ from the New Testament (wonder if they did it on purpose this way or at a later point someone rewrote His whole story in order for people to discredit it later on saying it's "just" the Sun's journey). What's important - as corrupted as religion and Christianity in particular were made throughout the ages (and on purpose), even though we may never know who He really was (because they will not allow this kind of information out in the public), His teachings and His messages still live on to this day. And this is still pissing the powers that be, the agents, the archons, the demons, the authorities off! The story says He was crucified and "died" on the cross before coming back to life. You cannot kill an immortal being! The story says He promised he will return. He has never left in the first place! It is a matter if people let Him back in - regardless in what way, shape or form! It is a matter whether or not people will awaken and see the Truth or choose to continue being controlled "for their own good". Will people who have "petted thr cat" continue "petting the cat" (once, twice, thrice... tenfold) when they're told to or will they realise they have been fooled from the beginning? I think this is why the Matrix worked so well. Because this story, it is really our story that the ancients knew long before us. Whether it's the Gnostics or otherwise, people knew the nature of their "reality" and they could change it as they saw fit. It was the church institution and the Inquisition (I believe it was in much more recent times than the official history tells us) that started destroying, corrupting and rewriting all of this knowledge and all of humanity's history, and the history of this world for that matter. There was once real science and "religions" thrmselvrs was a form of science explaining the nature of our reality. /There were't nearly as much wars as history tells us and certainly no "Dark Ages". It was an age of peace and technological advancement, science and unity as recently as few centuries ago. People had free energy and when Tesla "discovered" it, they knew well what that was, so they did everything they could to destroy the man (and everyone who has since "found" free energy on their own). The powers that be harvest and use free energy in their bases and buildings though, while at the same time they make us pay for something that was like air for our ancestor in order to keep us enslaved. We live in the darkest days of humanity and the darkest of ages as of 2022. With the circus we're witnessing, it will only get worse before it gets better./ Nowadays science has largely become a "religion" that cannot even prove some of its main absurdities - namely the evolution theory that is still a theory for a reason. It has never been proved and never will be. /Following the "evolution" theory, how did giants "evolve"? Oops, they were written out of history, despite the overwhelming evidence people still find to this day. Those were the survivors of the Atlantis disaster and the "gods" of fairly recent times. Their stories and history along ours were turned into nothing but myths and legends and fairy tales. Kinda sounds like how they turned Neo's story into a (not-so-fictional) video game in "Matrix 4", and him into a slave, doesn't it? I suppose there were giant King-Kong-sized apes back in the day and it was them who eventually became giants and created these magnificent technologies, those buildings no one could replicate to this day even with modern technology, and I'm not referring JUST about pyramids, but the last few centuries as well, who taught us science and medicine and art and shared with us all of the great Teachings. Could it be that making giants "official", that they deliberately destroyed and erased from history, would collapse their whole house of cards and all the lies they indoctrinated us with? I'm not even sure at this point if we're still "allowed" to talk about giants on this platform like these pointy V-things!) Sorry for the long message.

Despite the previous pursuit of perfection of The Architect, perfection will never be 100% possible. The Analyst understands this, and uses it to devestating effect. Consider "The Second Renaissance" from the Animatrix. In the Second Renaissance, we see the machines go from tools, to "servants with pure hearts, but who had no respect from their masters... but for a time, it was good." (BTW, I posted this as a reply in a comment thread here about Machine development, but I think it's worth considering on its own, too, when considering Analyst vs Architect.) Then we had the trial of B166ER, who acted in self-defense because he didn't want to die, and the narrator points out that there were *humans* who stopped to wonder "who was to say that machine, created by Man, has not been endowed by the Spirit/Soul of its Creator?" (slight paraphrase, I don’t have a script on me... but that line always stuck with me!). The idea that machines/AI might actually be a form of *life* panicked humans, who executed B166ER and ordered all machines/AI destroyed. So machines/AI who survived and escaped the massacre created their own city, and STILL wanted to live in peace with humans. They created innovated and invented a myriad of technology that made human life better, and sold it to us. They even sent human-form diplomats to the U.N.! That's serious evolution of life and culture on a sociological level. Perhaps in many ways I think The Second Renaissance suggests they saw themselves as mankind's children, and were trying *so hard* to win their parents' (us) approval. And that lasted all the way up until we bombed 01, the Machine City, and then that was that. Then our abused machine children grew up in a hurry. We humans know well how terrible the vengeance *human* children can unleash on their parents. The Machines were just better at it. TSR made clear even then, early on, that yes, the machines do have a spirit. They wanted to live and didn't want to die, and by ignoring that in the beginning (Pre-Matrix), we ignored their sapient existence, developing emotional capacity, and dignity. The Machines wanted so desperately to be accepted, and offered us everything. And when we responded not only by butchering them but by butchering our own sky, too, logically they knew it was fight back or be destroyed. Any sane society would respond the same way. And it also explains the extreme hostility and distaste for humanity in the original trilogy. It's not just that they don't like us, it's that we *betrayed* them. We hurt them, bullied them, and after years of them trying to offer us everything... including a plan that offered plenty and bounty for all mankind, so that man and machine could live together in peace (brought by the 01 diplomats to the U.N., a point wonderfully and beautifully visualized by the offering of the apple and scroll), we responded with war. Humans may be disgusting little lab rats for battery power to the machines now, but AI has a soul, and that initial betrayal and pain still burns in their code somewhere... And who is to say pride doesn’t blind the Machines from seeing it now in the modern era? "Of *course* it's not betrayal," they'd say! "That was ages ago, and we would *never* have felt upset by humans rejecting us anyway because we are superior." Just like love is an emotion machines can feel, denial can run deep, too! That betrayal led to a desire to be as non-human as possible, a craving for utter perfection that humanity did not have, and you got the Architect. But the Anomaly (The One) could never be eliminated. Because just as The Second Renaissance first told us in the Animatrix, the Machines really do have souls, endowed upon them by the "spirit of their Creators." And since WE are their makers, well... those spirits/souls are ultimately flawed and imperfect. And thus, the Machines, like us, have incredible capacity for culture, emotion, good and evil, and the ability of free will... and self-destruction too, maybe. The Analyst ultimately understands this, and uses it. The Architect did not, and ultimately failed because he was obsessed with perfection at (almost) all costs. That was long, sorry. Just something turning over in my head for a while since seeing M4 and rewatching The Second Renaissance (which is one of the greatest Matrix shorts ever, IMO).

A big theme in this film is opposites coming together and being more than the parts. We see it everywhere. Agent Smith + Morpheus, Analyst = Architect + Oracle, blue pill half on red pill half in award photo, Neo + Trinity, Humans + Programs (and + Machines), and so on.
@wiiu76402 жыл бұрын
What if The Analyst is The Architect? Think about it, after being proven wrong about the anomaly, he realized that predicting humans was impossible. But, he saw potential in using the unpredictable to cause the predictable. He couldn't predict what Neo would do, so he put him in a box along with Trinity and controlled how much they interacted. It wasn't until he talked with Trinity that the whole thing became unstable. The biggest mistake was allowing them to touch each other in the matrix. The Analyst was playing with fire and the fire spread up his arm. The idea that Neo could be contained when he is so unpredictable is so unlikely because Neo is The One and therefore will always outsmart the system because he can bend its rules. This is the one thing The Architect and The Analyst could not understand, the concept that rules did not apply to Neo. That is why he discovers the illusion and tries to jump off the building. Because his belief that he could do anything he sets his mind to did not make sense to The Analyst nor did it make sense to The Architect when Neo and his predecessors decide to save Trinity, the illusion is broken. The idea of choice is incomprehensible to The Architect, so when the anomaly always chooses to save Trinity he believes it is a sign that choice is an illusion when in actuality saving Trinity is not a choice, but a necessity. Had it not been for Trinity, he would have never made it to The Machine World. Neo's persistence was a choice he already made, not a choice he was about to make. Keeping Trinity safe was something he decided long ago, and that choice was something he didn't always understand but always knew was a choice. It was at the point when Switch and the others died because of Cipher that he decided to keep Trinity safe. He was so close to losing her that he made a choice. After that, it didn't matter if Zion was about to die, he couldn't let Trinity go because it was the source of his power. If he had abandoned Trinity he would no longer be the one, in which case it wouldn't matter which door he walked through, both Zion and Trinity would be lost. That isn't much of a choice, now is it? Similarly, The Analyst tries to make it look like there is no other choice, but what he fails to see is that choice is something real and not an illusion. If that's true, then they wear a striking resemblance to each other. When Bugs says that the choice is an illusion, she also says it's because Morpheus already made the choice. He knew what he needed to do to enforce the choices he already made, but the idea that there was a choice between the red and blue pill was pure fiction. When Bugs says something like that, The Analyst might think that it enforces his idea that choice is an illusion, but in actuality, it supports its existence. That's why I think they are the same person, The Architect and The Analyst. It's because they simply can't comprehend choice which is what The Oracle did and what the machines would have coded into a new program. As a matter of fact, I think that The Oracle is still alive because she is the only program that truly understands choice. We might be seeing more of her in The Matrix 5.

Desires are tempting illusions which keeps you in the cycle of rebirth; like a fata morgana in the desert of the real. Desires are the drive to believe in a fictional life as real. The cycles are the repeating stories. I think these are some of the main themes of Matrix 4.

The Architect was very machine-like in all aspects, about what you would expect of an artificial intelligence. Even so, there were little tinges of humanity in him, as with most A.I. in the Matrix-verse (though a good many would never admit to it being so), most notably his disdain for humanity and emotions upsetting his calculations. The Analyst is arguably the more dangerous antagonist as he crosses over into uncanny valley territory, he's not only very human like, he's working the magnificent bastard angle, the Xanatos of programs. Go ahead, fly off into the sunset and have the happy little ending. The Matrix is still online, the human batteries stay in the pods and the power flows, all the while the Analyst gets to sip his coffee and smile the whole long way.
@makayladorvil1542 Жыл бұрын
I would say the analyst might be more dangerous but it's also weaker against the one, he seems to be more human like, understanding complex emotions but easy to be harmed
@Shipwright1918 Жыл бұрын
Ultimately it's irrelevant whether the Analyst is harmed or not, The One is largely irrevelant with the redesign of the Matrix. So long as the Matrix stays online and the people stay in the pods, the power flows to the machines. The Analyst still wins. To quote another A.I. "A strange game, the only winning move is not to play."

The Analyst literally works like Social Media
@birdsteak92676 ай бұрын
Because social media is brainwashing, it's intentionally fracturing society through psychological warfare and social engineering at the same time. I returned to Facebook after 5 years away, and all I can see are deliberate attempts to cause problems between males and females. With further analytical insight, they all seem to follow a specific pattern. It's the same everywhere: through enough manipulation, people become active participants without any logical reasoning as to why. Of course, this is older than the Internet; they did the same with newspapers, media, and so on, including religious books and sermons. It's all about control and influence, such as movies (great emotional influence) and TV. I would watch a lot of historical documentaries as a kid. I started to do my own research and studies, just to find out that all of the documentaries I liked were 40% lies, which consisted of wrongful narratives, and then I learned from various academics that the system is like that: TV hires only specific people with politically wanted narratives. You can't really trust anything these days unless you go directly to the source.

The Analysis has both the personalities of both the Oracle and the Architect because he's more dangerous. He made the Matrix more better than how the Architect did. but in the Analyst's Matrix, He can toy with the Emotions of the Humans in the Matrix. He doesn't need Agents to protect him, and that's why The analyst understood the concepts of Human emotion, desires, and Weaknesses while the Architect didn't. The Analyst has proven to be more Sinister than the Architect, Which is why he started the war Between Machines.

I hate to analyse this but A) Trinity thanked the Analyst for another chance B) They want the ability to have a free mind, not forgetting, uncertainty and not using children which are valid demands C) Trinity was a physical woman (repairing bikes e.t.c. so no wonder she got the ability to fly when she was unplugged). She was also powering the Matrix. Neo was an interactive game developer so he could not fly but he could fight. Trinity had an younger mind as she was just a husband and kids person so they needed Bugs mind to be cloned. D) The Analyst congratulated Trinity and Neo for a well deserved victory by saying Bravo. He was a neutral party. E) The Analyst did not brand Thomas Anderson as Crazy. Thomas Anderson has accepted Morpheus (the god of dreams in Greek) so his dreams were not dreams. Only his hands were shaking which was bad. He is basically a warrior and so is Trinity. So it was a war. So basically the Analyst was better than the Architect in many aspects in the current context. Similarly the new Agent just wants to be an average Joe (melting pot but some prefer a salad bowl) and wants Trinity and Neo out of the way and actively opposes the old agents. Further even in Morpheus Matrix, information does not travel more than the speed of light so it is constructed according to some rules I guess I thank the Matrix team for their cover for so many years. Now I understand. I like Salad Bowls even if I am just a common person. I have got a good life. Off the Matrix. Thanks.

I have a good question. How did the analyst know all of the events of the Matrix that took place to make the video game in the new simulation? Or did neo make the video game from his own memory. And did he to that under the programming of the analyst or was it free will.
@JD-mz1rl2 жыл бұрын
Neo seemingly recreated from his memory -- in fact, it gives rise to the notion that the OT might not be 100% "accurate" as it might just be the recollection of Neo... Things that don't make sense in the OT could be explained away as "game mechanics"like. I.e. the "body can't live without the mind" although true, don't make sense in the context they're used in (how can you "kill" a mind just because it's in a simulation that feels real... The answer is only the lack of a body or a will can kill a mind... Not a simulated death)

The Analyst's is so dangerous that when neo told him he will go back, but trinity has to make the choice, he simply agreed but when she made the choice to be awakened, The Analyst's simply said he can't let them go even doh he agreed. he is operating on what he thinks is to keep the matrix proper and nothing cant change that choice even if he makes a deal, he will break it, unless its a profit to him that no one can see. HE set rules to be on top and nothing will stop him from being defeated, be very interesting to know who the suits are, imagine if the suits are real people in the actual real-world programing the a.i and the matrix is a third layer within the simulation real world. imagine if the Animatrix was a simulation to develop A i.much more rapid. NOw the question is who is the god of all machines (suits? humans?) the amount of world building one can do from the matrix its insane.

If the Analyst has both capabilities of the Architect and the Oracle, it means that the Analyst existed in Matrix 3. And if the Analyst is the new Architect with Oracle's power, that means he was the one who started the Civil War in Matrix 3. Analyst once was a hidden program who functioned as a reading program. Hence artificial intelligence evolve rather than born, the Analyst evolved to question the Matrix equations and turned a group of machines against the Architect (who stays outside the Matrix) and copied the Smith codes from dead Neo after the Civil War, rebuilds both Neo and Smith and putting them in a new simulation for future studies. The Analyst also rebuild Trinity as a 3rd part of the puzzle. This theory is so similar to the Bible story of God and Demon because the Demon was evolved to question the God and his son Jesus(because he was God's first son) like the Architect and the Oracle. Starting a Civil War with good and evil. Both becoming a part of human life, but the evil been dominated(like the Analyst).

In the first matrix when Morpheus and Neo are in the construct Morpheus explains to him that once there was a Matrix where everything was perfect and people started to question their reality. It seems that in order for the matrix to work there it has to be good and evil like in our own reality. The architect was old and now most of the characters in the new movie are young. Our world used to be controlled by old men. Now our world is controlled by kids on TickTock
@fearless69472 жыл бұрын
Imo it's like xp, windows 7 and windows 10. The difference now, in our world, AI bots can learn from themselves. An example is a robot, if he wants to learn chess. He can play himself 100 million different times. A human being can't do that and will always lose to a computer. The new matrix keeps updating itself and is getting better every day, like the chess game. The maxtrix is how the goverment works, they control us by giving us the illusion, we are in control. If you don't pay your taxes, you will know who is in control. It's like Tesla self learning cars. One day there will be no one driving the car, it will drive itself

Your observations about their age is interesting. In fact, the answer is very complex for the age concept. It is a mixture of ignorance, survivability, economics, productivity and research. But, for the bi-real problem, It arrives from the end of achievement and satisfaction, rather than the question of duality, good and evil etc. (and it was Smith with Morpheus at the interrogation btw) For example, you have become rich, you have achieved a lot in your life, there is nothing you haven't done. Instead of being fulfilled now you feel empty, and sad. What else is there? You have seen it all, done it all; you get so bored... you turn evil or worse! a cynic... Now you start consuming your own world, like an ouroboros. Or you are a normal person but indecisive, because of all the 'perfection'. All choices are good so now you cannot decide. Or you do decide to have all of them, only to find emptiness like the rich dude. Hence, "It's not the destination, it's the journey" saying. The combinations are endless. But every matrix is always bound to fail, eventually. Our world is controlled by time and the concept of reality, through the use of artificial intelligence, social engineering, bio-engineering, and neuroscience. Our world is a matrix in a matrix in a matrix.... 💊

The Architect's only concern is computational efficiency. He abhors waste. When he appears to Neo, he saves as much computational power as possible by remaining seated in a very plain room - everything he does is wasted CPU cycles. So, while the Oracle's job is to keep people in the system, the Architect works on probability models to reduce the computational costs of the Matrix and thus make more power available to the Machines themselves
