Matambre isn't flank steak. There isn't really an equivalent cut here in the usa. Matambre is a tough but very flavorful cut of meat.

@@angellover02171 Matambre is cut from the side of the cow, between the skin and the ribs. The scientific name for the muscle is cutaneous trunci. It is a thin rose colored muscle, also known in packing houses as "fly shaker" or "elephant ear".

Jaja nada q ver, y en el norte las hacemos con matambre, y de especias solo se pone una pizca de comino y pimentón. Luego, caldo, huevo y la parte verde de la cebolla de verdeo. Simple y rica.

Matambre is from Spain, Empanada and Alfajor are from Arab countries... Argentinian people take the traditions of Paraguay, Italy and many other countries. They have neither drinks nor typical foods. Peronism is the only thing 100% Argentine.
