Over the past ten years, The Aristocrats - guitarist Guthrie Govan (Steven Wilson, Hans Zimmer, Asia/GPS), bassist Bryan Beller (Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Dethklok) and drummer Marco Minnemann (Steven Wilson, Joe Satriani, Steve Hackett) - have established themselves as one of the most musically original, irreverent and surprisingly fun instrumental rock-fusion bands on the planet. Anyone who has witnessed their live musical performance - which employs random amounts of rock, jazz, pop, metal, country and anything in between - feels the spirit of a true band, whose improvisational soul allows anything to happen on stage at any time... including the occasional Frank Zappa winks and nods to the audience.

Everyone loves Govan and I do too, but I like the aristocrats as a whole band, not just him. They just exude the joy of music.

Honestly, this drummer and bassist really annoy me, Minnemann is too much, the bassist is too few, he doesnt have a jazz heart and groove. At all.

Got to see them in McKinney, TX in 2022 and it was awesome! It was a concert that I won’t forget for a long time. Their tightness and communication on stage is just off the charts. If the come anywhere close on this next tour I will go again 100%!

Wie immer Ihr das aus eurer Richtung betrachtet, ich finde eure musikalität phänomenal. Ich höre bei euch interessante Tonfolgen, ein knackiges Timing und ihr habt einen sehr guten Sound. Ich spiele selbst Rockmusik als Bassist und erkenne die Dynamik und Spielfertigkeit von jedem von euch. Ihr passt einfach zusammen, Ihr spielt Musik für Musiker. Keine Schlager Fans werden euch lange zuhören, Rock Fans schon.

I saw them for the first time Saturday in Portland in the smallest venue I've ever seen a band in and it blows me away that they're still playing bars. I'll never miss a show if they're in the area.

@@OhGodWhatIsThisAah That's great! Yeah, i love that they still play smaller venues, although i think they'll book some bigger ones on the next tour. Last time for me was Dortmund in a little club that held approx. 200 people. I was like 2 meters from the stage. Amazing!

The guitar sounds are better for my ears than lots of earlier Guthrie tones. These are thicker, more massive, not ice scratching sharp

Yeah that’s a big benefit of the digital modeling. You can tame the ultra highs and lows with greater control. The issue becomes when you don’t know what you are doing and cut too much out making it sterile.
