I own the sam7 sf …I purchased it around 8 years ago …i actually sold My yugo AK collection ( m70 under and standard stock and the Rpk) I wanted the best AK in case of a SHFT outbreak and after owning nearly every manufacturer of AK (except the East German mpi) over the years ( I used to have a gun dealers license and business back in the 80’s through 05) the Bulgarian arsenal is arguably the best weapon of its type…I put para cord wrap on the stock and the m1 flash hider …it’s is my go to end of the world AK I will be passed on to my son once I pass ….great video

Bought 2 of these last year and already put 2000rds through each. These and my vepr fm's are my smoothest shooting aks i own. I have a few slr 107r's those are ok too but not as smooth as the sam7sf and vepr fm's.

@@crazy4milsurps the receiver is smelted and cold hammer forged to reduce metal porosity and then milled before being assembled, along with other parts of equal complexity. To say this gun is “cheap and easily produced” is wild 😂 maybe other variations. But this is about as quality as the AK-47 platform could and will ever be.

I LOVE my SAM7SF. Its the main firearm ill grab for a crazy chaos scenario. Mines a little heavier because I kitted her up, but shoots like an absolute dream and that weight just soaks up so much recoil

@Raider214 unless you dont live in the us we live in a nato country and shtf happends your not going to be able to fine ak mags or 762 soviet anywhere you would be better off going for an ar or some gun that takes ar mags and 556

@@grizzly_mint sure but a couple issues with that. First being if I use up all my 7.62, and somehow lose use of all my mags, I'm either dead, or I've come across an AR by then....second being, just because I choose an AK as my main rifle doesn't mean I don't have an AR sitting around. Thirdly, if I'm running alone, the goal is to not have to use your rifle, because firefights don't tend to favor a singleton operator. Also it depends on where you live stateside. Lots of AK ammo here and nobody too interested in it. Not many combloc guys in my locale....nothing wrong with grabbing an AR i just don't like 5.56, and you can get away with running an AK with much less maintenance should the situation and lack of supplies call for it

Jmac customs has a few options to change out the stock. I sold mine a few years ago because of the stock. Wish I waited cuz jmac now makes options for the SF stock

Great video. I like what you guys are doing. I was wondering what your thoughts are as to the finish on the Sam7sf? I hear that it’s extremely delicate and considering the price rather disappointing. Regardless, I still the Sam7sf one of the better looking AK.

Thanks Telly! To be honest, out of all the AK variants we featured so far the SAM7's overall finish is pretty lacking. There are areas of the gun that already has paint chips from handling. We definitely do not drag it behind the truck but just from removing it from the case, leaning it on a rack, laying on a table, shooting on a rest all contributed to these handling marks on it's finish. These marks are fairly superficial and won't bother most shooters. And we agree, the Sam7 is one of the best looking AK's out right now!

People complain about the finish, but that’s what your paying money for. Your money is going towards the quality build of one of the best, true Bulgarian milled receiver AK’s. Bulgaria is the 2nd best milled receiver AK behind Russia that you can buy currently still. The sam7 is a work of art and worth every penny. I absolutely love my Sam7sf and my go to battle rifle for end times over my zastavas. If the finish irritates somebody that much, just get it cerakoted.

The good news about the lousy paint finish on Arsenal AKs is that they are fully parkerized underneath so no rust or corrosion. But its still annoying. After about a dozen cleanings over 2 years even with mild CLP, like break free, I am getting the silver tiger stripe effect. I am thinking about durakote or cerakote. Arsenal should do this out of the factory instead of applying stove paint. This is the only negative on a perfect AK, well except for the price tag.
