Between Ashes and Pax Dei, I think MMO's will see a small renaissance. They're both trying to tackle the same problems from different angles. I'm excited to see what happens in MMO's over the next few years. Especially after having Ashes not be on my radar until just a couple weeks ago. Bought into alpha phase 2 and can't wait to try this myself!

The Ashes Effect is realizing what you were missing so dearly these past years in game development. It's: take the road less travelled. It's: be brave. It's: hit the breaks and do a 180 on the highway. Honestly, the Ashes effect is someone having the guts to say: no, this is no quality of life, this is trivialization.

I thought narc was beloved by the community? I didn't watch him personally because he always seemed batshit crazy to me, but i thought he was good in everyone else's eyes?

Agree 100% I cant go back and I've been trying. The BARE BONES offered by Ashes CURRENTLY is better than any MMO that CURRENTLY can scratch our itch.

Me and my guild are addicted. The dopamine feels good. We get sad every Sunday when servers go down and we typically get a special GM event (Which we did yesterday) and ended up in a MASSIVE pvp fight for control of the castle. So epic. omg

I have tried and loved every architype. I really enjoy playing in groups (the best) and solo (still pretty good).

Nothing clicks like Ashes. I have 0 interest in other MMO's right now, cannot wait for that P2 playtime.
