Even after all the despicable things we had seen Andrew do, this scene as well as the final phone call between the two made you feel genuinely sorry for him. Darren Criss is an incredible actor and made a fan for life.

James B. I met Andrew back on Oahu in January of 1996 .. this part was when Andrew had went to see his father shortly after graduating from Bishop’s according to Maureen Orth’s statement. Andrew’s painful reality was that the FBI came & took his “Encyclopedia set” along with all his families possessions & his father had taken everything else. Because of Andrew’s “Mental Torment” this was when Andrew had planned from that moment on his “Revenge.” As Andrew had stated to me back in January of 1996 .. like Scarlett O’Hara .. one fist up standing on the hill of the movie “Gone with the Wind” .. “he vowed his revenge.” Something that destroyed the rest of his life and others he loved he .. wouldn’t let go. Revenge devours all.

@@dariusmenda8487 Wow, that's crazy!! Were you under the impression that if Andrew had found his dad living in any sort of comfort/luxury, he might have been motivated to kill him? I realize that this visit was years before he killed Jeff so his mind might have not been so deteriorated at this point, but if he was as angry at his Dad as you say he was, certainly seems likely? Only sparing his Dad due to the squalor in which his father lived in, Andrew possibly deeming it to be more sufferable than a quick death. Fantastic stuff!

James B .. Andrew as I knew him as “Andrew Panini” from his Hertz car rental contract .. this is a new area that I never thought of but “Yes” this guy could get weird very quickly. If Andrew had a “Catalyst” something could “Ignite” a darker side of his personality. Andrew could “Snap into & Snap out of” & not really understand what he just did. For my experience this was his “Hatred & Jealousy” of the FBI & Nicole Kidman who stole his man .. Tom Cruise. I was going to jump out of the shuttle bus when the owners called on the C.B. to put the bus away. Andrew “Snapped Back” out of it .. I asked if I could drop him off (dump him off) @ Hertz in which Andrew agreed as I was dropping him off Andrew had asked me what he could send to his friend in a letter .. I told him an outline of a sea shell which appeared on the FBI records as a letter to David Madson. Andrew had given me a $50 tip that was an addition to the $20 dollars just to drive him in circles @ HNL airport waiting for Norman Blachford’s delayed flight. After Andrew gave me the $50 tip I gave him a book of “Hawaii” specific to the Big Island which I believe was found as evidence on the houseboat. My experience with Andrew was to watch what he did from the rearview mirror, listen & remember everything he said like my life depended on it. As I made the shortcut around what was “Bank of Hawaii” that’s when he really got up close behind me & stated about the “duct tape” around the head. Andrew had asked me if we could go somewhere more private .. I’m thinking that he’s really to “mental” & that’s not going to happen. Again before departing off the shuttle Andrew bent down slightly whispered in my right ear & said “Because Your Special.” James B ..”No Doubt” in my mind “Yes” he would have tried to do something to his father but that’s another movie.

@@dariusmenda8487 What about him struck you as special? As a driver I'm sure you've had a thousand fares, what about him stood out so distinctly? From what I've learned about him he definitely sounds like a character, but I'm not sure without the murders if he would stand out or not...how many separate occasions did you spend around him? Or was it just an isolated incident?

I appreciate the faithfulness to ethnicity when it comes to casting actual Filipinos and half Filipinos on roles based on Filipinos (as much as I am not proud that this particular Filipino they are playing is a murderer) but there arent a lot of roles in Hollywood for Filipinos in the first place.

Children Live what they learn. If Andrew had a better relationship with Modesto who lied so much maybe things would have worked out differently. Also Modesto should have realized that as a "Visible" Minority he wouldn't have had the same power.

Omg representation, representation... we need good actors, asian americans are "represented" quite enough considering that they make pretty low percentage of US population
