Your hyperfocus during high peaks of stress really resonated with me. I was diagnosed as an adult and never understood why I would do it or would just label it as procastination. I'm currently in grad school and during my most recent midterm week I had a "moment" of hyperfocusing on wanting to know EVERYTHING about Maneskin. I spent hours watching interviews, performances, and reading articles rather than studying. It can be crippling at times. The inability to focus on anything else because you just NEED TO KNOW, need to satisfy that curiosity, need to write it down to refer back to... I'm finally out of it, just in time for my finals. Wish me luck!

I totally get this. When I was looking for an apartment and so stressed that I had a severe bipolar episode, I got really into the show Arcane. I wrote fanfic and poetry about it and started working on 4 fan videos (which I’m still plugging away at to finish). I think Arcane saved my life this year. Good luck on your finals!

I will be glad (as a person in the US) to be able to access your work digitally **and support you without contributing to your stress** and I’d like to humbly request that in addition to the option to print the stickers at home, you do provide straight digital stickers. I’m so sorry for your troubles and I hope that six months from now you’ll find this has all worked out and turns out to be a great change for your business in the end 🙏

Right?!? Between the cassette tapes, the Bauhaus vinyl and (what looks like) Max Headroom in the commonplace book, I slipped into an 80s timewarp to my teenage years :D. I was SO glad to see the end of cassette tapes...I can't imagine having to go back to them :D

waaait I fell into a fixation on cassette tapes a few weeks ago too 😶‍🌫 my original goal was to stop taking my phone to bed with me so I wanted an alternative way to listen to audiobooks as I fell asleep. so I bought a tiny player and some audiobook tapes on ebay and it's been working great, but then ofc I went further down the rabbit hole and got super into tape repair methods (at first out of necessity), then bought a set of blank cassettes so I can start doing science experiments with my own recordings (and I don't even make music lol) etc, idk it's just gone off the rails. I just love being able to **see** and physically interact with the mechanism that is making the sounds that I'm listening too (and dislike how digital shrouds that process) anyway lol. I'm really curious to see where your tape journey takes you and what you find / what aspects grab you!

@@Seolhwaneul hell yes!!! I am definitely not a traditionalist but old things have so much appeal to them ;-; digital is great in so many ways but I find myself missing more and more the "tangibility" of certain concepts! I love how convenient it is to just open spotify and there I have literally almost every song to listen to, but I also love that my brain would associate my favorite albums to the rituals and sensorial/emotional feelings that come out of picking a tape/record/cd on the shelf and playing it on a (semi-)analog machine. It just hits different :'>>> (also heyyyyy fellow TMA listener :>)

cassettes are really amazing. I super super recommend going to thrift stores in your area and picking out some crazy unknown stuff you have never seen before. there is a lot of really cool stuff that only ever came out on tape that will never be seen anywhere else! you can also find a bunch of old tape machines (tapedecks, walkmans, rewinders, etc) at thrift stores as well for really cheap. most of them still work, just take a tape and some batteries when you check to make sure they work

I am from Russia and our national post service is a nightmare - I have to wait in the queue for several hours, standing in a small old room with dozen(s) of extremely angry people. Every mild inconvenience or misunderstanding leads to being called b#tch and racial slur. I am not autistic but I understand the struggle - you are so strong, keep going, be proud!

I LOVE seeing cassettes pop up here. I've always had a thing for them that I can't really justify and none of my friends really get it haha. But it's always been fun for me to go to thrift shops and just pick up tapes that just look cool, buy them for like 50 cents each, and just try them out. I found some really good new-to-me albums that way and the ones I didn't like I would just give back to the shop. I also have ones from my childhood that are super nostalgic ... I grew up spending a lot of time on an old sailboat where the only source of music was a self-made cassette-player-stereo that was originally in a car. Your new player with the bluetooth is really neat though it's cool to see the new stuff they've started making for them! Also - please don't feel bad about the international shipping. Everything has been getting so expensive and messy. I live in Canada and I've had to back out of purchasing so many things over the recent past because shipping has cost more than the actual item, and a good chunk of the time it gets lost anyway. It's frustrating because living in a smaller country (population wise) means that a lot of things come internationally and we don't really have cool local stores like the US and UK do. Love capitalism.

So nostalgic, I'm 42 so I used to buy cheap used cassettes in the 90's when i was in highschool, and I'd also buy blank cassettes and record mix tapes off the radio lol ❤️ The post office sounds terrible :( I do some card trading (which is just letter mail) and I haven't had any trouble with the UK recently even though I've had trouble with Europe and Australia and Indonesia (i once had mail arrive 12 months later! 💀) so I understand limiting it; I pretty much only trade/buy with Canada/US/UK now. I know some of the people I buy from in the UK definitely use the print at home label. If you don't figure it out, no worries; if the post office fixes things then you can try again and if not then you don't have to. I think digital is a good option ❤️💕

When you started to open that record packaging and the tear strip ripped I physically winced. I think the bluetooth cassette player is neato. It is an interesting bridge between old and new in a format that still has value. If you like it and enjoy it lean into that. And Queen when you get paid treat yoself! You earned it. I'm also not surprised you found something music related to focus on. I've seen the price tags on some of the vinyl you buy and I'm blown away at how pricey records are in UK. Maybe they're like that here too and I just don't know it. I'm just a Spotify basic bitch lmaoooo. Holy shit the international shipping sounds like a complete nightmare. Bummed I won't be able to make an order but maybe things will change for the better in the future. I'd rather you not ship internationally than have to deal with that hell. I can hear the stress in your voice and I can see it in your hands. I'm sorry Megan for what it's worth. I'm giga-jealous of your A5 techo. I want a bigger book SO BADLY. I've been writing more and more in my A6 every day and lately I fill the page long before bedtime and I have no room for stickers or anything else.

Royal Mail have really ruined their services for us. It’s the same here, epic queues, only one or two tills open. We have the self serve machines too, however the people that don’t use them often think that they have to wait by the machine for a member of staff to come and collect the parcel, so the either the only person serving at a till, or one of the only two, has to get up and abandon serving the queue to come and deal with the self service machines. It’s a nightmare. In terms of your shop, I would really like to purchase from you, I’m sure you’ve guessed by now that I’m in the UK, I just wanted to let you know in case you can plan for it in some way and ease the stress. I’ll be a first time buyer :-) The cassette tapes! Wow! That took me back! I was a child in the 90’s and I had £5 pocket money each week, so one week I bought a Walkman from Argos, which was the full £5 and came with headphones, those ones with the thin wire band and the cheap spongy ear bits. Singles were between 99p and probably around £5 for the big special edition singles, and albums were around 9.99 to £15. I used to have so many and now that you’ve mentioned them, I can still hear all the little noises associated with the Walkman, all the different clicks it would do as I would press the buttons or open and close it, and the little whir and then click when it reached the end of one side. I was kinda surprised to see cassettes at that cost, it seems expensive. I’m sure you’ve probably tried, but charity shops can sometimes be pretty good for vinyl and cassette, but as the whole vintage aesthetic has become coveted by many, even charity shops are increasing their prices lately. I spotted a gorgeous The Cramps album in Oxfam for £45!! Wishing you all the best, I love your videos and they make me feel really happy. It’s like my little self care routine each week. Xx

Oh man, I can so relate to the cassette tape special interest. I’ve been collecting CDs again as my special interest and it’s so fun to randomly find a pile of old cds at a garage sale or a thrift store and find a gem. Or by just browsing eBay and getting them from sellers there lol. I’ve also been buying and watching horror movies on VHS, recently I watched The Blair Witch Project and it was amazing on a crunchy old vhs, it really felt like I found this tape somewhere and it is ultra cursed.

International shipping sucks. I will say that as someone in the US it will be nice to be able buy your products digitally. Would you be okay with us printing them out at home? It seems like that's the idea but I always like to have permission from the artist first. Also I have no clue if it's possible, but for things that aren't prints or sticker sheets (Like the Autistic and Tired tote bag) do you think it would be possible to have those designs up to purchase too? I think it would be really cool to see if my local embroidery or printing shop could put it on a tote bag of my own. Don't stress about it if it isn't, though. Hang in there, I know lots of us will still stick around through these rough patches. Take all the time you need to figure things out. 💛

Glad you are going to be able to share your artwork with us via digital. I have found selling my items digitally is way less stressful than the actual product. That being said, I am taking a chance well 3 chances this summer to sell my physical products at a local craft fair. . As for the cassettes. Do your thrift or I think UK calls them charity shops. Have you check them out for vinyl and cassettes? that is where I have picks up a few LPs for my growing collection and not having to pay more than $3.00 each. I don't have a cassette player anymore, yet I have seen them in our local thrift shops as well. . Here is to doing what is best for you and not to have Autistic burnout.

Im so sorry to hear about all the postage problems. Just ignore my twitter question. I will definitely buy your digital art if that is what works for you right now. I have to find a good printer to print it out but thats on me for having a shitty printer. I hope everything works out for you. I dont understand why everything have to be so complicated and hard for small businesses

I would absolutely love if you offered your work digitally. I love digital options because it allows me to use/print them out on the paper and size that I like. I would love to buy any of your art digitally, literally any of it.

I love your ghosts and I don't mind buying them digital so I can still support you! The post office is scary to me honestly. I would LOVE if you could do ghosts cards for nonverbal communication, digital to keep on my phone and print out to keep in my bags 😍

it's astounding to me that someone would have the audacity to yell at someone just... doing their business? like you're clearly doing your business and aren't purposefully holding up the line? either way, I'm glad paypal gave you your money. please take some time for yourself, you've been working hard. have a cuppa, take a walk with wednesday. lots of love from a slowly warming Iowa 🖤

Random question but does the Pilot Frixion bleed in the Cousin for you? I have a Pilot VBall and it’s the only pen that’s ever bled in it for me 🥲 so thinking of switching!

I have an album recommendation! Sleater-Kinney “No Cities to Love” (it’s my favorite cassette tape) (they are a punk band) 💙💙 P.s. you and I are on the same wavelength…. This week I got my very first iPod Classic. I hadn’t had one as a kid. I put a charm on its case, as one does 😭😭💙

Bauhaus, cassettes and Max Headroom ... this is all very Postmodern. 🙂 If you haven't seen it, look up the Pete Murphy advert for Maxell tapes, which is pretty cool going on iconic. What's desperately uncool is the absolute state of the post, and it's downright depressing to hear about your experiences. Go digital for the sake of your wellbeing, but music is best when it's analogue.

Hi Megan! I've been following your videos for a while and I look forward to them every week! While I cant afford to purchase anyhting at the moment, I'd like to suggest digital icons (for phone/tablat/pc) as a digital product. Not in any way biased for my current need to reorganize all my apps heheh

I have a question about how you film your videos : I know you said you use your iPhone, do you film in the standard camera app or do you use a different camera app? Looking forward to the digital products! (:

PayPal are the literal worst. When I used to sell stuff on eBay they'd always withhold the payment even though I had sold like hundreds of items on there. Such a shame that they have a monopoly on the online payment platforms...Hope the cassette tapes goes well :D

Im so sorry about the shipping problems - its just such an unnecessary stress that noone needs, especially small businesses. *Late capitalism hellscape* is the phrase of the week. I'm really happy your shop is opening again though, hopefully it will coincide with a pay day so i can support the channel and your business - its been the place ive been digitally reaching for over recent rough times for me so i really want to give back. Thanks for all your content, it makes me feel so safe and seen - i hope the world of shipping and paypal gets better for you ♡

I'm interested in buying an LP player, would you recommend yours? If yes, what brand and model do you have? It's really hard for me to find in a sea of products a good option, your input would really help me out. Thank you :)
