Thank you for this interview, this will be my 5th marathon but first time at the Houston Marathon. I’m also a back of the pack finisher.

Nice job by both. Robert seems particularly well qualified for the job, especially with his communication skills which matter a lot I'm sure. If I was a little bit closer to Houston, I'd be in at this point.😄

What a coincidence. I always finished dead last, too, when I did cross-country in middle school. I was also overweight and had a chest deformity that restricted my lung capacity.

And still running

@@GokuRunner I had a pectus excuvatum and got that fixed when I was 18. Even before the surgery I still never let it stop me. The surgery took about 10 minutes off of my 5k times. I also stopped having exercise-induced seizures.

I really loved that conversation! It’s interesting how they do the sweeping. It sounds fun to see them but not if you’re facing a DNF 😂
@GokuRunnerАй бұрын
Definitely not fun to see that when facing dnf.

Cool guy. Lunchbox finished a Houston one year at 6:00:01. They DNF ed her. They’re not messing around. 😂

This is Robert Key. My bad. You can not switch over to the half-marathon at the Expo. You need to follow the Houston Marathon instructions online as to the deadline to do this and how/when to switch over.

Thank you Jeremy for editing that part out. Just to be clear, go to the Houston Marathon website to find out what the procedures are to switch from the full to the half, or vice-versa.
