The reason Snorky practically says nothing is because in the original show, Snorky was a silent character to begin with. Unlike the other Banana Splits, Snorky communicates through honks though the others can understand him just fine.

@@rhaeasoul8531 Filming was confirmed to be starting in early 2021 as Scott FINALLY got a script and screenplay he actually liked, after it being canned twice already, once in 2016 and once in 2019. (The older of these two is believed to have been altered into the Banana Splits Film) Of course, now Scott quit FNAF due to Twitter finding out he was Republican, so there's a decent chance it got killed off for good, but the script he liked was already done and filming apparently was already underway, so it'll probably still come out in 2023 or so

Too bad for them. Reminds me of gobots vs transformers back in 1990 something; the original idea took way too long and guess what swooped in and took its place? As I said fnaf is way past it’s prime by now and not one but 2 different direct competition movies got made and released first.

On Rotten Tomatoes, the film has an approval rating of 67%, based on 15 reviews, with an average rating of 6/10. On IMDb, it has a 5.1/10 rating. Kat Hughes of The Hollywood News praised the film and its direction, saying "Danishka Esterhazy proves the breadth of her directional range. The Banana Splits is a fun-filled, cacophony of zany deaths and characters, that plays out as Charlie and the Chocolate Factory for grown-ups". William Bibbiani of Bloody Disgusting gave a positive review saying that the film "offers a satisfying sequence of slasher slays" but that it "relies so much on cognitive disconnect that never feels like more than an ironic kill count". Reviewer Jim Johnson, of Comic Book Resources, wrote that "it's a bold move that works, because, here in 2019, there's really nothing better to do with the Banana Splits. And it's not like anyone else had a better idea". Russ Burlingame of ComicBook.com praised the performances and script, saying "The Banana Splits Movie will be controversial - especially among those who still have a fondness for the original series - but it mostly sticks the landing, buoyed by a great cast, script and crew". Ben Kenigsberg of The New York Times gave the film a negative review, writing that it is "far less crazy than it wants to be and far more soporific than a synopsis would suggest". Mike MGranaghan of Aisle Seat gave the film 2 out of 4 stars, writing "When it's doing what it's supposed to do, The Banana Splits Movie has some definite novelty, value. Unfortunately, that's only about 50% of the time, tops".

the only reason i know of these characters is due to Boomerang in the 90's and early 2000's (before the "rebranding" and "reworked channel AKA sucking the life out of it) having bumpers during "commercial ads", which there were none to beginning with, and they had this really catchy one.
@ionbing28843 жыл бұрын
I'm a little confused. I last watched some Boomerang maybe 4 years ago or so and it seemed just as I would expect, except it was more '90s shows like ReBoot than old HB but there was some of that. Frankly that's what I vastly prefer anyway. Maybe at some point in between it was in a wretched state and got rescued before I found it? CN *was* an institution. Then 2007 happened and it became a sluice of badly thought out worse executed dreck in about a fortnight. Just unbelievable. I thought CN started getting better around 2011 with Regular Show and other good stuff...that all had their series finales...oh God they're just running TTG nonstop now aren't they?

From what I've heard on various horror youtube channels, the Banana Splits Movie is made from the script for the FNAF movie. Allegedly, Cawthon read the script and cancelled the deal with WB very quickly. Supposedly, WB then scrambled to find the first IP they could that would fit the film, and adapted the script to it. I say all of this as allegedly and supposedly, simply because I haven't seen any hard evidence of this, but I've heard it across multiple youtube channels, so... *shrugs* I wouldn't be surprised if that's the case. But the fun part is, if you're familiar with the FNAF series, you can see exactly how someone who doesn't understand the series could write this movie, and even recognize certain characters and how they were trying to work it into the script. If this genuinely was made to be a FNAF film, any FNAF fan can easily recognize how someone who doesn't understand the series could portray it in this way.

My favorite movie is Garfield Gets Real, and I think one of the reasons is the same as what was described at 15:46. Going into it, I thought it was just gonna be a typical mindless kids comedy. But it ended up having a premise that's very fascinating to me, with a ton of world building, some emotional moments, and a very intense action scene at the end. I also love the sequels, Garfield's Fun Fest and Garfield's Pet Force. This is a very unpopular opinion; most people hate those movies. Which makes me think the only way to enjoy it is to experience it in the exact same way that I did, which is very specific and unlikely to happen.

For me personally even though I respect a lot of people who like this film, I found it to be not only dull, sluggishly-paced and tediously boring, as well as the dark comedy being too mean-spirited and unpleasant, not only due to not very witty or insightful, but it was either too visceral to the point of sucking out the humour, or devolves into “Isn’t it funny watching crying, scared children being traumatised by murder scenes?” That’s not funny, that’s just fucked up! Now, I LOVE dark humour, like in Re-Animator and many more like it, but the difference there is that those films embraced the campy over-the-top nature of the story, without being too silly, on top of having much better comedic timing and execution, without being to bleak, but The Banana Splits WANTS you to take it seriously, especially with Poppy’s storyline as a tragic, disturbing heartbreaking movie that comes across as needlessly depressing, pretentious and self-indulgent. It certainly doesn’t help that I did not care for most of the characters, since they were bland archetypes, or unlikeable assholes with nothing funny or charming about them, and most of the acting either came off as too wooden, or too hammy, making a lot of the emotional scenes fall flatter than a pancake. The only ones I liked was Beth, for being a strong, yet still caring mother, whose determination to save her family and the kids is very commendable, and Poppy, who was a bubbly, perky young woman, without being too obnoxious, when she loses Thadd, her actress did a good job capturing the grief and her spiralling into madness very well. But in terms of the other characters, the movie isn’t a clever deconstruction of family life or the entertainment industry, it’s a melodramatic soap opera with killer animatronics as the special guests. Even the Banana Splits themselves, while Eric Bauza did put a lot of charismatic energy into his performance, they all came off as boring, due to a combination of the movie not taking advantage of them being robots, making it too easy to defeat in combat and their deaths feel less satisfying and undercutting the tension, their personalities felt interchangeable, any of their dialogue could have easily been said by the other, and they just weren’t scary, since all they do is pointlessly kill people in front of innocent kids, which again, is just plain witless nastiness, and doesn’t even make sense from a character standpoint. Sure, Snorky does stop the buggy when he sees Harley on the road, and he redeems himself at the end, but it happens way too late in the story, since he could’ve had helped at anytime, but he spent the whole goddamn movie being a complacent, spineless, useless coward, and when it seems like he’s agreed to help the kids, the guy fucking has them captured chained up, it literally took a weak, blandly-acted speech, where all he literally says is “Please don’t do this” from Harley for him to get the key, but he didn’t even try to save Andy, or team up with Beth to take down the other Splits, he just walked away, so his “heroic sacrifice” to stop Bingo, and his final goodbye to Harley came off as last minute, underdeveloped and saccharine. Sorry for the long rant, I really couldn’t get into this movie, does anyone else feel the same way, and how could the film have been made better?
