There is a lesson here: your girlfriend or boyfriend must be your other half, not your only reason to live and revolve around them. That applies for anyone. And yeah, the speech of the mother is too much long.

As a guy that loved Friendship is Magic, and met his current girlfriend through it. I've been trying to find these misogynistic members of the brony fandom and have kept coming up short. Granted I'm not searching far and wide, but I feel like its just the loudest minority of the community, like it is with most fandoms. The worst members are always the loudest but are the minority.

It was my childhood and still is, I’m slowly getting into adulthood and I think the show taught me a lot of true lessons that I still hold dear. I despise the part of the fandom that sexualizes and the gore part of the fandom because I stumbled on a lot of that as a young child. Anyways I also got my boyfriend to really like my little pony in a wholesome way and actually take each lesson in an episode to heart. It makes me really happy

I also find it weird that MLP of all franchises is said to bring forth misogynists in the fandome. The show with an all-female main cast, openly feminist authors which takes place in a kingdom with a male-to-female ratio of like 10-90 and a matriarchel society.

Literally the only thing that misandrist movie should be awarded for is Ken's performance. Something is legit wrong with your writing team and their ideal of feminism if their vision for a perfect utopian society where everyone's treated "equally" is a matriarchy where the men are treated as second class citizens, like c'mon...at least in the real world women can run for any office and vote, it just goes to show that these people want supremacy and not equality.

Fluttershy is best pony. Proof: She was the only one to actually befriend Q - I mean Discord. Basically Q. In two franchises, there's only one being he could actually call a 'friend.' Pretty sad, actually. Shame on you, Jean-Luc Picard. I mean, _STP_ is very shameful, but shame on you more for this.

Also as what’s basically a brony but without the arguing about best pony 7:26 that’s a tad of a over reaction but if I saw a movie about evil animatronics killing/eating people ( not a FNAF movie reference a reference to a short horror film that traumatized me when I was younger ) I would freak out at a animatronic (Joke since if I don’t say joke everyone’s gonna take this seriously which I don’t want )

I'm a middle aged man and my sister/mom made me watch this over the holidays. It's honestly a mixed bag, some of the stuff in the movie is actually pretty hilarious, there's a lot of easter eggs in it my sister pointed out which make it more interesting, but someone who wrote the movie had a huge chip on his/her shoulder. They go to all this trouble to make men look bad but they make men look awesome, haha. The ending is dumb.

i've heard rather conflicting views of this movie, specifically towards how Ken was handled. -some say, this movie is misandrist because in Barbie's world, Ken is just an accessory to Barbie and when he gets a taste of the "real world", where he is powerful, Barbie wants to put him down, again. -others say, it's uplifting Ken, keyword: "Kenough" and that it's about Ken learning that he doesn't need to be like "other men", to be Barbie's friend. and i have no idea if i should buy into either perspective.

I'm also a man who watched the movie with his wife and daughter (not my edgelord teenage son sadly) and I think it is a good parallel how barbie disregards ken to how many men in the real world disregard their woman. It bashed the toxicity prevalent in both genders and uplifted the good aspects both men and women have or can have. I also never felt threatened in my masculinity by any of it because mine is defined by my love to my wife and kids and what I can do for them not what other men think is manly
