He has mixed feelings on Laios, but it's undeniable that he still wants to understand him because that man is a mystery to him, for both greater good of humanity and his own very human curiosity. He has fixation on how people work and Laios is his greatest case study.

Last time they showed up to take over a dungeon, his entire hometown, friends and families, were brutally slaughtered. Of course, the underlying sexual tension between him and Laios reinforces Kabru's convictions to keep the elves away.

First off love that One Piece reference 😂 but Ijust love this series with the story being a mix of D&D with Food (Senshi is my favorite character), but as for what I like the most is how the manga artist Ryoko Kui is very clever with mixing biology with fictional creatures

Okay, I'm actually so glad you mentioned that the fanservice is tasteful Like, in the bath scene with Falin and Marcille, I didn't feel uncomfortable at all, because the focus wasn't their bodies in a sexual sense, more so the focus was Marcille's absolute relief at being with Falin again and taking care of her, and Falin getting used to having a body again. Every time we're shown any character either monster or humanoid, it's always done with respect. Like, the sirens, you don't even register that their hair is the only thing preserving their modesty because 1, they wouldn't care about clothes cause they're literally fish, and 2, the focus is on what they can do. Same with the harpies, they aren't clothed either, and while they're mostly covered in feathers, you don't focus on the parts that aren't because it's natural for them and the series doesn't draw attention to it. It's normal for them. I just appreciate that the series has so much respect for their characters (main or side or creature) :)

The manga actually has a bunch of bonus mini chapters and tidbits, including a few short What If scenarios the gang ponders. Them keeping the treasure was one of those, and they came to the conclusion that throwing it away was probably for the best.

See I've never had a problem with the chicorita animation because it's just actually how animals are prepared. Like I mean obviously with the plant jokes added in given it's a planned pokémon and so like there's a few haha that's not meat that's a planned type jokes in the animation but like objectively it's not a bad thing. It's not some scary or unsettling visual. It's the preparation of a dead animal for food. It just happens to be a fictional animal. But it is no different from dungeon meshy at the end of the day and even then the idea that pokémon are exempt from being food in the pokémon world seems a bit weird. Like it's the same as on an objective level thinking that there are no examples of dog-based cuisine or like what we would assume is pet kinds of animals based foods. Like given the framework of a lot of societies and shit most definitely do not have the like you know place in the first place to be saying anything (mostly because the US meat industry is the reason most of the world is dealing with most of its meat-based problems but will not get into that part) But yeah, people treat it like it's some sort of desecrative bad thing someone made like people making rule 34 or something. It's just world building. That's a Canon true thing that's always been the case in pokémon
