Petra…I just love listening, learning and doing…I could listen to you, read the phone book! But, I’m struggling. I am 72 years old….about 30 pounds overweight…most of which sits on /in my distended abdomen. I’ve had several, terrible injuries over the last few years (broken back at L1/T12) , 3 years ago and broken wrist,11 months later. Therefore, the pain and the stress, living through 2 years of rehab (all during Covid times) lead to increased cortisol. I know that has a lot to do with the distended belly. I can barely feel my ribs, underneath the big belly. I do QiGong and Tai Chi….gentle Yoga and am slowly working toward floor sitting and getting up from the floor. Squatting is not easy. I’ve been trying to sit on low stools, to start. And that’s the short story. I’m also doing breathwork, in order to tap into my parasympathetic nervous system. It’s been a long, hard road, to get back to some new normal. My posture has always been good and I try not to sit too much …take walks…use bands and small weights, for upper body strength..doing balance work…challenging, because I’m almost deaf in one ear, with severe hearing loss 8n the other ear. Trying to do intermittent fasting, drink lots of water and ferment3d foods. Stressed about family issues… Any suggestions? I’d sure appreciate your help. Thank you. I follow you religiously.

Great Video! Just want to know if i get it right. I was teached in PRI belly move first, cause diaphragm decent and pull air in the lunges from bottom up and it makes sence, but i always like ur videos and would like to know why u say ribs hand first? Appriciate ur time a lot . Thanks:)

I say low ribs first because a) less downward pressure on pelvic floor and b) ribs are made to expand with air. I don't know why PRI says belly first but to me that doesn't make sense.

The link to the free ribcage magic goes to a 401 page … is it no longer available?
