Okay yes, I do need to ask - I've been deliberately training myself to land forward of the heel over the past 6mths or so, because of chronic heel pain, which has gotten SO much worse since moving to a cement-floor home 3 yeara ago. I've had X-rays and ultrasounds, Drs can find no cause, other than the fat pad is quite thin as I'm over 50. I do have chronic inflammation (was diagnosed SLE back in 2004 - perhaps incorrectly) and it affects my joints most of all. (Yeah, I'm doing all the stuff to reduce it naturally). My heel pain is all under and around the back, definitely exacerbated by driving, and all shoes hurt. The only thing that's given me any relief in heels and joints is changing my gait to land further forward. The idea of going back to heel striking just feels like I'll re-hurt myself all over again! And I was going to buy your program as a New Year gift to myself (I'm on your email list), but now I'm thinking I may not be a good fit for your program? Maybe there's too much damage in me?

The squat is so versatile! I wish Victorian maids had cleaned floors this way, instead of on their knees. A better innovation for the English than the railroads were for India? 😉

Hi Petra. I’ve been recently diagnosed with hypermobility as I have had several recent subluxations. Is Kinstretch recommended for this? Particularly EDS? Tight muscles and weak joints are us! I see opposing views online.

im confused you made a video about how walking can create a healthy pelvic floor, but you seem to have different replies in the comment section. please help us understand . i know the pelvic floor is a tricky muscle but obviously walking cant hurt but can only help peoples cases . especially if you have had a sedentary lifestyle.. “Potentially” and if your walking correctly isnt really a straight foward answer , its applies to stretching/strengthening you can do those incorrectly as well. beginners with issues need to start somewhere , id say walking is the safest solution rather than stretching if your not familiar with how to do it correctly. you can reinjure or make pelvic issues worse if doing stretching incorrectly i have first hand experience on that being a 6’-5” 250lb male who never stretched a day in his life . kind of why i stopped seeing a PT she showed me stretches but wasnt telling me how to do them correctly. i take babysteps at first go slow and i can tell the difference the pain has significantly gotten less i feel more loose and can now walk faster and for longer times each day i go at it. problem is most of us sit around all day and have been for years especially when covid came . the human body is meant to move wether your walking correctly or not (as long as your not tip toeing) it cannot hurt you. should we just sit around all day and get worse or should we get up and move around? i think the answer is simple.
@PetraFisherMovement12 күн бұрын
Walking is almost always better than not walking, but if you're walking in shoes with heels and rigid soles it may not have much benefit for your pelvic floor. I am not saying don't walk, I'm saying that you can and should take steps to make your walking better for your body, including for your pelvic floor. I'm so glad you're experiencing relief!

This was really insightful! I'm 19 years old, a year ago I started to have some issues like urinary incontinence, back pain and ED, which is weird because I struggle with TMJ and tinnitus as well, I think this is due to my sedentary lifestyle and poor posture, unfortunately we rarely see knowledgeable people like you. A rebounder is even better again.
@PetraFisherMovement19 күн бұрын
I would imagine it would be tough to work at your standing desk while rebounding though?
@vickimathews197019 күн бұрын
@@PetraFisherMovement fair enough, also difficult to do your normal exercise routine while standing at your desk too...lol...the rebounder is for when you wake up, when you have a break from your desk, when you have pain, and means you can do a 30 min routine that's equivalent to a 90 min exercise routine on anything else, also works your insides, your cells, you can't do that with anything else, tightens all your skin, check out Dr David Hall, no wrinkles and he's 68, check out I jump instead, no wrinkles, and all of them have muscles from rebounding only, you can't get that from standing at your desk, best exercise in the world, the astronauts use it for a reason.

Jesus, people, stop asking those kind of questions! Think by yourself. You pay almost 500$ for this product and you asking for permision to use it as you want??? Are you seriouse? And if someone will tell you that you can not use it for fun on it's own then what? You will never use it in this way?? Or you will hide yourself in the basement just to play with it as you want? Because what? Police will come? ... Do you really think that you need the desk to use it? and without the desk it will not working out???! 🤨

Scott ~ I use a 24"x18" inexpensive & thin (1/2" pile or less) rubber backed rug from walmart for under $10 for my hard plastic balance board. I have bamboo floors and the thin rug has kept my floor from damage 100%. I definitely will be buying one of these movemates for the foot articulation that my regular balance board does not have.
