After watching this a few times, one thing (visually; there's a lot to unpack on sound) that impressed me is that while all four of them act like a villain here, each of them seems to me to act like a slightly *different* kind of villain. * Tomi gives off an 'off' feeling; he's acting like a villain that's just a little insane. * Bobby gives off a 'smooth' feeling; he's a villain that knows he's a bad guy and is quite relaxed about it. * Peter comes across as a 'confident' villain; he's certain he's going to win. * Marwan is the 'smiling' villain; not just a bad guy but glorying in the infamy.

My theory is that each of them personify ONE PART of the final boss, similar to the OG video where the transformation takes place in stages:- Tomi, the psycho that relishes in fear. Bobby, his voice is literally the tolling bell that shakes your soul. Peter, the definitive confident swagger of someone who has already won Marwan, the chilling smile of the torturer that wishes a fate worse than death. Kinda like a 4 Horsemen thing; Tomi for Famine, Bobby for War, Peter for Pestilence, and Marwan for Death.
@YourlocalNoVAgeek Жыл бұрын
Peter def makes a great bad boy. It shows in his performances as Don Giovanni and Rip Huxley. Tomi plays villains very well, as shown in his performances of Hellfire and Be Prepared. Marwan’s definitely a devious goober. And Bobby def has that smooth vibe about him, both on-music and off.
So many musicians just go to the high notes, and they're missing such a depth and richness for the low notes. It's good to see an artist Take A New Path

People like Geoff Castellucci and Tim Foust got me really into bass singing over the past year or so, and I've always wanted more bass in song covers like this, just because it's awesome. Well, this did the trick! I love how everybody gets moments to show off their specialties, like Tomi's growls and inhales, or Bobby's exceptionally deep chest range, or Peter's versitality in singing operatically in so many ranges, or Marwan's insane subharmonics for such a young age. (B0!) And of course, everybody getting their turns with the E-flat 1. Awesome stuff from all of you
@npilot44452 жыл бұрын
Me too. Loved Geoff in 16 tons, went on to explore voiceplay (and they DO play, LOL) and the others. And now this. Well Marwan is and up and comer.. and then there is Peter and Bobby together... that's right there... Peter goes higher, Bobby goes deep velvet and Marwan and co are hanging in there... Ahhhhhh. Love it. Now, if ONE of them would collab with Voiceplay I'd die happy. :) They just have to find a good song.. sorta like Home Free and Mayday, :) Or you know, really anything else Homefree tries... :)

This is so gooood! There are so many great things in here, it‘s almost impossible to say what I liked the most about it. Bobby, your evil laugh was the best laugh I ever heard. And your low notes are fantastic as always. I LOVE your voice! Peter, you were super solid throughout the whole thing and your high notes and the acting was on point. Tomi, your growl slides and the really high haunting notes were amazing. But Marwan, I‘m blown away. You are a madman! Firstly you made a great arrangement, secondly you outdid yourself once again with the editing, and thirdly your vocals in this were fire! Your fast dodododododo subharmonic lines were incredible and without a doubt the best ones compared to Tomi‘s, Peter‘s and Bobby‘s. And let’s not forget about your B0... I‘m just speechless. Guys, this is your best song so far without a doubt! I‘m just amazed and I‘m already looking forward to the next time y‘all will release something new.

So, I'm late to the party on this, but I've been watching this and a gang of reactions to this over the last few days, and finally went and watched the original Panic version (which is a whole different ball of wax! Holy frijolé, Batman!). I finally realized, while watching King Family reaction, why Bobby kept plucking at my attention whenever he was on screen. He's the only one who closes his eyes. The rest of you keep up that spooky stare throughout, but he blinks. From the first solo "Must be mine" he's more ... human. Part of that is also because he's the only one with natural facial hair, which again, changes the viewer's perception. Marwan's editing is just ... staggeringly awesome. The complexity of all the different layers, voices, bits and pieces and flotsam and jetsam just lead my eyes in a dizzying dance. Trying to follow a single character is just not possible. Not to mention that sometimes that "single character" is on the screen in four places at once. All singing a different bit. Also, his makeup works SO WELL with his face shape. I loved watching all four of you for different reasons. I've been watching Peter's reaction channel for a while now, so it was like watching a friend in action (though I had never realized his hair wasn't black until last week, as the ad for the chair was the first time I saw him without the hat!) Obviously I've now gone off and started watching all your individual channels, so there's that. :) This video was just flat out fun. That "spider's-eye-view" was just fabulous, with ... what, 16 fixed heads plus the extras? I didn't see the nostril vape until someone mentioned it, but it was a cool touch. Plus the little "bell-tone" pops. So... I've subscribed, watched what you've got up so far, and am looking forward INTENSELY for more to come! :)

It appeared on your reaction videos as well as you recital performances that you just were not enjoying yourself as you should. So incredibly happy I basically stumbled my way into finding this. I looked up the original song on a whim, can't even remember why, and a short featuring a clip of this was in the search results (featuring the B0, hence why I IMMEDIATELY decided I needed to hear the full thing when I saw there was one). I am blown away, honestly, and the absolute awe I'm feeling both as a regular ol' music lover and someone who sings myself (and thus has a good grasp of how INSANE the vocal skill here is). I couldn't have found this at a better time either, emotionally, so it's clearly fate 🤭

Hey guys! I'm new on your channel and to be honest I never really listened to bass singers (maybe Geoff was the only one). You changed this today. Seriously I didn't think bass voice can be so colorful (I learn to sing, but I'm just an amateur and I'm as far from being a bass as Brendon Urie from Heaven in the original video). I loved everything about what you did in the video. Bobbys smooth lines were absolutely sinister, Tomis falsetto parts were total ghostly, Marwans deep slide (I guess you know what I'm talkin about) literally shocked me and Peters high part after the "Mortal kings" section was surpisingly angelic and it made a new context for that part. So yeah, it's not much from me, but you won a new subscriber and fan. Keep this up! 😁

Panic at the Disco was a huge part of my teen years and this is so SO much better than everything they ever did! I'm so happy with your song choice and Marwan's arrangement and editing is amazing, all of your guys' performances, the looks, all of your fucking STUNNING voices, simply everything about it. But I have to say it was Tomi that absolutely blew me away - your bass is just incredible as well as your highs(and of course your performance!). I'm so in love with those haunted howling notes and those fucking deep ones. Especially the one at 2:28. The sound vibrated through my whole body. It's insane to me that neither my laptop nor my speakers were able to grasp that frequency while playing everything else without a problem. That one was only audible with headphones and I think that says a lot... xD Thanks to all of you for gifting us with this beautiful song!

This was the first time I got a really good listen to Tomi's voice. I was already familiar with the rest of the gang. Wow Tomi... You have some good pipes there...a lovely rich bass. I love bass voices they are like velvet to the ears.

I keep listening to this like 5 times in a row, it's so good! Also it took me until a few minutes ago to fully realize and appreciate the detail that whoever's singing the lead throughout the song is also doing the bassline at that part, so cool!

This song popped into my head when I looked at the cover of the Signet Classics "Macbeth" that I keep on my end table. I looked up the lyrics and it TOTALLY fits with Laird Macbeth's character.

I listened to the original, and having heard this one, it seems like "Panic! At The Disco" have all the bass lost somewhere. I enjoyed this greatly, thank you!

I only wish Bobby's KZbin channel was more active with all collaborations posted to it and more shorts. I keep hunting for more of amazing Bobby all over youtube haha. Amazing talent, voice, and natural artistic skills. Great job The Bass Gang! Would love to see you tour in FL.
