I mean with Batman its always about dealing with "corruption" in Gotham...would be cool to use Court of Owls and them maybe sending "messages" to Batman trying to control him, while he is dealing with the other big bad of part 2, and then maybe deeper into them in part 3 finding the ties between the Wayne family and Court of Owls..

I think a grounded Man-Bat is possible. Scrap the actual physical mutation part and just have Langstrom’s mind transform into that of a monstrous bat. Sort of like a Jekyll/Hyde situation or the Monster of the Id from Forbidden Planet. To look the part, Langstrom in his Man-Bat personality could have his own gruesome home-made costume. Inspiration could be taken from other fictional serial killers who had some sort of costume/skin suit involved in their crimes like Leatherface. Doing this still maintains Man-Bat as a dark and animalistic counterpart to Batman. Based on Curt Connors trying to heal the crippled, Langstrom was trying to help blind and deaf people (his family have genetic predisposition to these issues) by giving them better sonar-like hearing. The serum seemingly works, gifting Langstrom with a crude form of echolocation. However, he also starts behaving like a bat and believing he’s part bat part man, even crafting a bat costume out of human/animal skins.

One thing they could do with the court, is them originally only being a spooky childrens story, but a part of Gotham's elite using them as inspiration for their own little cabal. Those would be only a few decades old, maybe a century and operate as this secret club similar to the court in the comics.

I think The Court is best used in part three as one half of the grand finale antagonistic force. The other half is Joker. Order and Chaos go to war with Batman and Gotham caught in the middle. Giving Joker a different antithesis makes it easier to understand he sees Bats more as a kindred spirit than a nemesis.

It seems the court are going to play a part in part 2 no matter what. I think the best route if Reeves does want to focus on them is to use a completely separate villain in p2, maybe a freeze, ivy, prof pyg whatever he wants. While Batman is tackling this villain the court are always present, maybe through the Penguins story line, there could be some shady meetings between Oz and the court for example. This gives a good springboard for Matt to develop the courts story (potentially in a HBO show) but at least in p3, making them the main villain. Love all the videos too Boba ♥

Haha, I loved the intro! I seriously think your future podcast could have an audio drama-like segment with voice actors and sound effects and whatnot. You could write the script and voice Bruce and bring in some other friends do to other roles. Maybe it could be just a five minute segment or something, but it would be really fun. In any case, thanks for this video. I do agree about the Court. It would be re-treading the same themes. I would vastly prefer a new, grounded spin on a classic rogues' gallery villain rather than the Court, and I actually do like the Court!

I’m telling you Boba. I feel it in my bones that the court would be perfect for this Batman. The whole Gotham Renewal project would very much ruffle the court’s feathers…. They don’t like change in their city. They will be very easily adapted for the grounded telling Reeve’s has gone with. I’m not going to let go of Alfred mentioning that he was in the circus and how he is supposed to protect the Waynes. Given the court’s connection to Haly’s circus for recruiting child performers..oh man… I’ll be *so* disappointed if I’m wrong. How bad ass would it be if Alfred was a former Talon in this world and taught Bruce how to fight??? Love it.

Court of Owls also would work if they don’t belabor the corruption theme that’s already been addressed, like as Bruce is grappling with his family’s imperfect past (maybe Thomas was in the Court for example), but they don’t have to take up too much screen time to make a significant impact.

I think it would be great. People always say they should do it in the DCU instead because of the fantasy elements and bat family, but you can apply that to a lot of famous stories. I don't really care that much about the zombie talons or the bat family's presence in that story personally, and honestly I think a new interpretation of the Court could be really interesting and exactly what that villain needs tbh.

I promise in 5 years time people would be talking about how much of a missed opportunity it was to not have Batman go against his most infamous rogue. My top picks for villains would have to be Mr freeze in part 2 Joker/scarecrow part 3 I would love the court and firefly too but too many choices to pick from.

This would work perfectly if they bring in robin next movie then have the final movie be court of owls. We should get hints to them then the sequel ends with batman finding proof of the court and then the 3rd movie is exposing them and bringing them down but I expect a few years time jump in between movies or something. He shouldn't just find them after a few days it should be his biggest fight yet and he has to use his detective skills to find them rather than just beating someone till they talk

I can't see it working with an early Batman. The point about the COO I'd that they've operated for centuries, including the Bat Family's reign. COO mean nothing if Batman finds out about them in his first 15 years as a crime fighter. The point is that the Bat Fanily have no inkling they exist. That's what makes them formidable and scary.

Old school clayface and hush in part 2. Then major breakout at Arkham in part 3 with joker using the riddlers intelligence to his advantage and then killing him. Then joker joining up with psychos like calendar man and professor pig to cause major havoc and go up against the penguins new regime. I would go for a victor zas murder mystery batman. Being to me it seems that Batman has won the hearts and minds of the people of Gotham. Where you could still bring in Harvey Dent, penguin Scarecrow and one more rouges villain. (Death stroke) Reason for me wanting scarecrow now is because I want to Batman to be a wanted man by the police. So, somehow scarecrow confuses Batman and he is framed for a murder of a prominent figure or a witness.

the court of owls would be a good idea if matt reaves was doing 6 movies. the batman part 3 final scene could be Bruce and Alfred going to the circus and we see the flying Greyson's die and camera zooms in on a child dick Greyson. the batman part 4 could have a 6-month time jump and Bruce already adopted dick Greyson. dr Hugo strange could be the main villain of the movie and he is the new head of psychology at Arkham since the old one could have died in the batman part 3 by joker. dr Hugo strange could be creating his mutants by using Arkham patients at first but starts to kidnap street orphans to begin his mutants. the court of owls could be teased in a scene in the movie. the batman part 5 could have scarecrow be the villain but talon would be a antagonist setting up the court of owls as the main Villan of part 6 the final movie. dick Greyson's family tree could be explored in parts 4 through 6 with his grandfather being a talon in the past. the main talon we see in the batman part 5 could be dick Greyson's grandfather or his clone but time will tell. we could see similar to the comics Bruce go to the sewers and try to locate their base but gets drugged and goes through there maze and we see the giant owl statue in the batman part 6. the end of the batman part 6 could be open ended with us to determine if the court of owls is gone or just a myth as is told like the comics. idk just a idea .

idk i rather see the court in the brave and bold series just bc i cant see pattinson fighting actual trained undead assassins by himself yeah he can take down 1 maybe 2 talons ....its still his early years this probaby year 3 to 5 will take place...now b&b already has a batfam team and probably better high tech to make a bat wraith robot and also the court was made for barbatos the bat god the 5 metals dark multiverse etc i think matt reeves is just doing great detective stories no metas no magic no aliens like clayface freeze two face croc can exist but having ras al ghul and court will just make it more fantasy than a thriller....we can say they just need 1 talon not a whole army in the sequel and that talon is tw jr ok cool that be a nice detective thriller...but the whole city of the owls was the bat fam first time we see them team up crossover in new 52 separately take each talon down and the bat armor robot get out of my house! i just cant see patinson tone voice doing it right

Limiting it to a trilogy is really doing a disservice to Batman, unless they do some Bat Family movies in between. With 3 movies right when you get going its about end. He is to big of a character with to extensive of a story to be limited like that. To do Batman justice he really needs 5-6 movies to tell a really good long story

For me, I totally agree & honestly think that the Court of owls wouldn’t work in this iteration of Batman despite it being a Crime Saga trilogy. If Matt wanted to do the court of owls than he would’ve done it in the first film which is why he took bits & pieces of some plot points from the court & sprinkled them into Riddler’s story. I want the court to be shown in the DCU where there’s so much to be explored more with those characters & lore. Plus I do want PT 2 to be more focused on Batman’s main rogue’s gallery such as Scarecrow or Mr. freeze. I’m still holding out hope with those two potentially being the main villain in PT 2. & my god look at those amazing Members!
