The one thing that was surprising to me with this episode was how much was revealed briefly in this episode: Beatrice's past with Ryuzu and Echidna, the visit from Roswaal, and the introduction of the black serpent! It tried to stay focused on Emilia's past but also give teasers of other plot points to come. Which makes sense because at some point Beatrice, Roswaal, and Emilia form a union.

With all of these subtle hints ever since her memory starting coming back, & now is back... it really feels like Puck somehow is Fortuna, just in the form of a Spirit after death... Puck said that they were looking for her for such a long time, & had a some kind of regret regarding her, but he/she was absolutely nowhere to be seen in her memories, but it did strangely feel like Puck was there the entire time, especially since the second I was suspicious about it since her memories started coming back. Puck has to be Fortuna's Spirit after death. There's no other explanation that I could come up with. They even have the exact same energy. (remember that Chap guy in Frozen Bonds who somehow became a part of Melakura the fire spirit with multiple bodies? That shows that the people of Re:Zero can become spirits, & that the majority are all probably lesser spirits...)

I do have my own problems with Re:Zero's writing. With things often being forced (exaggerated character actions, dialogue and emotions which escalate way too quickly) and cringey, BUT... and hear me out, HUGE BUT! I f-ing love this show. The world building, mystery... There's just something special about it! I really love Re:Zero a lot! I'm now wondering if Pandora is the "real" big bad. Who knows. First we though Satella, then Roswaal, and now Pandora. Hmmm

How can anyone see Roswaal as the big bad? He's just a douchebag with a vendetta (Plus he very explicitly stated his intentions in S1, it's just that people don't pay attention.)

@@dazzlingpurple756 I don't feel that way. Especially with Subaru. His cries rarely "hit" for me and often come out of nowhere. Even in serious scenes, he just suddenly starts crying and I don't feel proper build up into it. Especilaly when I compare it to something like One Piece, Berserk, Hunter x Hunter or Vinland Saga. I feel that emotional scenes hit way better in these stories. It may just be like that 'cause anime has to compress the LN source material.

@@dazzlingpurple756 Even in the trial episode with parents, it still comes too fast. I can't put my finger on it. Or even when he cries above Rem in S2. It just feels like it happens way too fast to me. I don't know. I always thoguht that emotional scenes weren't the strongest point of Re:Zero because I always have a hard time connecting with characters & feeling what they feel, unlike the shows i listed above. The only exception for me, being the S1EP15. That was executed perfectly. And I still love the show, despite that. Meaning that for me, it just has other incredibly strong points.

Pandora resembles what maybe, just maybe, could be Phantaminum on Tower of God. Someone who can create and change whole stories. I love this kind of indirect power. It's not about genkidamas or any random ball of energy, it's about the power of a word/phrase/idea. Also, I'm inclined to think that maybe Puck is actually Fortuna. She said she will always be with her and then Puck comes out of nowhere and them has the same powers and kinda looks like Fortuna. I thought Puck would have come from the portal but maybe it is Fortuna as Puck.

That scene where Regulus disobeyed Pandora my jaw was dropping I did not expect him to kill Pandora like that and we get a sneak peak for Pandora power, also I thought that Echidona, Satella or the witches will be the villains

It would make sense to me if Flügel is Subaru, because he has the sloth-witch factor now - assuming that Re:Zero is a Möbius Band like story sequence. There was a scene in season 1 where Puck said that Satella's unseen hand was by far stronger than Petelgeuse's -- so Puck must have known her. There are still a lot missing pieces.

Was anyone else kinda surprised that Fortuna called Emilia “Lia?” I think Puck was the only other one to also call her that... Edit: lol finished this comment before the very last min. Completely forgot all about that Fluegal stuff tho, which could lead to some of what happens after this arc is said and done I guess.

Fortuna and Puck shared a common magical arsenal - Ice. Then they dropped hints in the Frozen Bond so yeah I think its possible to say Puck is a reincarnation of Fortuna?

I think puck has to be either Fortuna or archi, because he was there too, although I think it has to be Fortuna, remember how last episode started with puck speaking in a... familiar sounding way, I thought it was a woman at first. Then you hear Emilia counseling puck as his voice changes a bit.
