Bruce is the only one of the Beach Boy 'associates" that won a Grammy. I think love dictates Bruce's involvement / membership in the cover band. Bruce has written & performed since 1962, or maybe a little earlier. loves an ego maniac who never would have gotten anywhere without Brian Wilson.

The Brian and Al band are my preference. I saw Brian and Al back in Summer 2022 and they were stellar, much better sounding than this version of The Beach Boys. Although Brian seemed like he was very tired, he didn’t sing much, but he fully sang “heros and villains”, “god only knows”, and a few more. I wish that Brian, Al, Mike, and Bruce come together one last time to sing a few songs. They need to before any more of them pass away (and Brian doesn’t seem to be in the best of health, he gets wheeled around in a wheelchair these days).

There's nothing wrong with having second generation (and beyond) members. Both Brian and Mike found very qualified and very talented artists and believe they are worthy to be called Beach Boys members (or members of Brian's band). Bands go through personnel changes, people. The Stamps Quartet was founded in 1924. I'm pretty sure their current lineup doesn't consist of any original members. Change _is_ uncomfortable, sometimes even scary, but we adapt. There's no reason why we can't enjoy and appreciate both Brian's and Mike's bands. I've seen both twice, and all were a blast. Finally, it's customary and considerate to give elderly artists a little slack for imperfections, it's a show of respect. It's a special treat to be able to see your favorite artist, even if they're past 70, 80, 90. And it's very admirable that they're out there doing it! And it's usually for the benefit of the less famous musicians, in fact it's for the benefit of all crew involved in a tour, and respect and love for the fans. So we (should) respectfully listen and enjoy. And we don't (shouldn't )complain.
