Dear Matt, your words resonates so much with my soul. I've been pretty much bed ridden for the past three years, I was so depressed and unable to let go of the past luggage. The disease has forced me to face life for what it really is and face the so called pain body and mind. Thank you Matt. This is healing an entanglement about how the neighbors are mistreating their two dogs. I've been so sad and it makes me feel out of control, then very angry. Do I speak to them? Do I have the right to speak? The judgement within me has been so volatile and angry because of the ignorance and unnecessary pain and suffer for the animals. If there is anything I learned from experience is that I forgive too easily. Then my boundaries get crossed. Also, more and more I get the impression there is no justice in the universe........so in an unfair universe, we need to hold people accountable. It's either that or be gaslighted. My family treated my like sh*t my whole life, and no one knows about it. There was no growth in it, for me or anyeone else. What was the point of the suffering? Nothing. There was no lesson. Therefore, forgiveness isn't the point either. I never had the courage to hold them accountable because I was too busy "seeing the purity of their spirit" as an empath, protecting their feelings(curious right?), as well as avoiding the negative consequences of creating further conflict in emotional and physical co-dependence between one another. After all these years I can't think how any of this could possibly have helped me become a better person. There's a lot of injustices in this world, and until "spirit" gives satisfactory reasons for why it happens in the context of pre-planned, chosen, lifetimes I call BS on any supposed divine order behind human happenings. Our spirituality isn't at the point of being able to tell people "spirit" doesn't care about us...or that most of our spiritual paradigms fail to meet the actual needs of peopel on the planet (otherwise we'd be awakening en masse and we'd have a jolly time). Forgiveness is one of those BS lies I bought into at a very young age as a byproduct of havign a loving heart. But context is everything down here, and unless you are in a super enpowered place in your life............forgiveness of the self...makes sense....forgiveness of others often enables sh*tty behaviour.
