wow. That was truly one of the most inspiring TedTalks I've seen in a while. Perhaps he was a little inspired by Jack Kerouac's "On the road".

I was one of the organizers and had the chance to talk with Christiaan quite a bit during that time. He did a lot of his hitchhiking with a female companion. On their trip to South Africa, I think they were 2 boys and 1 girl. So, don't let that hold you down :-)
