I was so excited for this movie and was so let down... when a 2 hour movie makes it feel like 8 hours, means they did something wrong! Visually stunning but lots of empty prolonged shots... The director also edited the movie which means he clearly could not let go of some shots... That horse trotting along Gaiwan leaving the castle... 5 minutes uncut...Christ!!! Shame!

I saw this film for the first time last night. Man, what a ride...along with having a compelling narrative, it's a visual feast as well and quite avant-garde. Definitely one of the better arthouse films in recent years and right up there with the likes of 'The Passion of Joan of Arc' and 'The Seventh Seal.'

Hey, why did Sir Gawain putted the green cloth off his waist at the end of the movie?
@veronika76522 жыл бұрын
@@subhanzulfiqar5768 hi! :) the green cloth protected Gawain from the green knight. The cloth was enchanted by his mother so that Gawain would return home safe and without any harm. But Gawain promised the green knight (in the beginning of the film) that he’d accept the game and therefore the rules of the game too, which clearly stated that he’d have to let the green knight return the same blow to him (which meant he’d have to let the green knight cut off his head). By showing up with the green cloth on his waist, Gawain was cheating and not being honorable, which was Gawain’s main goal he wanted to achieve on his journey - he wanted to be honorable, he did all of it for honor. But it wasn’t honorable of him to cheat. He then saw his entire future and how it’d look like if he remained a coward and still wore the green enchanted belt - his life would be for nothing, he’d still be a coward even if he became a king. So Gawain learned from that, took the green belt off and decided to do an honorable thing which was accept his fate fairly without cheating even if it meant death. Hope this helps :) it’s only my own interpretation of the ending but if you want more try searching something like “the green knight ending explained” on youtube 👍🏻
