Hi Tim, hope you, your family and friends are all doing well. I thought I was drawn to your videos by accident, but then realized that I must have been influenced by my EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) "ritual" every day.....tapping acupressure points while stating positive affirmations about feeling good and healthy. I know, I'm a little "kooky", 'cause my daughter tells me all the time. Anyway, I just want to say that I LOVE doing the elevated rocking position, 12 reps to start about a week ago and now up to 20....so it might not be too long before I can do a full 10 minutes. To me it's fun and easy to do, but I was very surprised how it gets your heart going and that I could really feel it working my legs, more so than doing squats! I'm a 68-year-old grandmother, so if I can do these, ANYONE CAN!! Oh, and I also started doing what I call your "Infinity" exercise, 21 times every day....LOVE IT! Thanks Tim, for helping me stay physically fit and making it FUN! "";D

Absolutely love this book! Just wanted to put in my 2 cents that bulletproof came for me when I began very intentionally to drop my ribs 24/7. After a week or so of that my elevated crawl went from 2:20 minutes to 4:23 minutes!!!! Finally, I very much understand the idea of going from a wiffle ball to a baseball as well as tying my X together. I do wish that more exercise folks would just give that simple instruction as it seems to be such a game-changer for so many. I've spent years & years doing all kinds of exercises including the OS resets and this one little thing has made all the difference!! Finally getting that strong pelvic floor I've always needed and wanted and it also helps me to keep my tongue on the roof of my mouth which is very challenging for me (possibly because I've worn glasses for 47 years so I don't think that helps). Yes, and it's helping my vision too. CRAZY!!!

The elevated rocking humbled me. I was going to do a hundred, and I could only do 20, twice. I was doing a lot of other movements that were impacting my arms before then but still! Since you play around, I do too, and I decided today to do a 10 (each leg) regular rocking movements in various foot positions (I call this rock around the clock) and in between do 10 elevated rocks. By the time I was done I had done 140reps of regular rocking and 100 elevated rocks. That was kind of fun. I see what you mean about putting the hands in the diamond. They definitely make my triceps announce their presence. It would be a great goal to do elevated rocking (even with hands in a diamond) for 10 minutes and I think I can reach it but I have to be patient, but since I'm Irish that's a difficult virtue for me. Thanks for all you do, especially the encouragement to do what you can do and not get too excited about not being able to do what you cannot do.

Got the Kindle version today. Planning to read it over the weekend. Have a question for you. I tried the rocking you showed in this video. Must say didn't expect to get tired so easily. Apparently not as fit as I thought I am. Anyways does your book give a progression for a absolutely beginner? Do you have any suggestions for guys with protruding knee caps. Found it quite hard on the knees after trying the kneeling rocking movement.

bought the book and love it ! Has humbled me on a couple of occasions (ten minutes crawling,how hard can it be?VERY) One question Tim , there are no overhead carries in the book ,I wondered why?
@OriginalStrengthSystem
@OriginalStrengthSystem 5 жыл бұрын
Overhead carries don't fit with the low risk to injury theme of the Becoming Bulletproof training. They have a higher risk to injury - if someone's mind wanders, they drop the weight on their head, or damage their shoulder, etc... Also, not everyone has a healthy range of motion in their shoulders to be able to perform overhead carries.The exercise selections in this book can be performed by most able bodied people. I think! I love overhead carries and think they are great. I just didn't include them here as they can be used outside of and/or along with bulletproof training. I hope this makes sense.

Bartosz Dopke hello! Very glad you are recovering and feeling good. That’s awesome! Rocking is extremely low impact. HOWEVER, your doc is the boss. I must defer to his guidance. Hi Tim, I got your book and started reading it - it's very exciting b/c it gives me what I'm looking for, namely being able to move without pain and with ease! I was wondering, is leopard crawl the same thing as Jacob's ladder (minus the 40 degree angle) - now that the gym's closed, I'm crawling up and down stairs - I'm able to JL x 20 mins (aiming for 30 but gym closed), and crawling stairs 30 mins, 45 if I push it. thanks Tim for sharing your knowledge with all of us!
@OriginalStrengthSystem
@OriginalStrengthSystem 4 жыл бұрын
Hey! Thanks for writing me! Leopard crawling is similar to crawling stairs or Jacobs Ladder but Leopard Crawling on the ground will cause more tension in the midsection. Unless you are crawling down the stairs or up them backwards! That’s a whole new level of strength. You’re doing awesome! Keep up the good work and keep me posted!
@FuzzyJCats
@FuzzyJCats 4 жыл бұрын
@@OriginalStrengthSystem yes I was going up forward and down backwards with the stairs, but I was doing right arm then left leg, left arm, right leg, alternative as opposed to at the same time - the jacob's ladder though is more "harsh" tbh! I'll try the leopard crawling (I assume knees off ground?) since my core is pretty weak! I really love your book and your positivity and "Can do" attitude for everyone regardless of abilities (albeit with the squat/pushup, I'll have to do squat/pushup against wall lol).
@OriginalStrengthSystem
@OriginalStrengthSystem 4 жыл бұрын
However you can move, however you can start, you’re starting from a good place! Leopard is with knees up. But knees on ground is still wonderful. It all adds up in the long game!
@FuzzyJCats
@FuzzyJCats 4 жыл бұрын
@@OriginalStrengthSystem the leopard crawl is definitely harder than JL and stairs, but it seems to hurt my knees more - the 40 to 45 degree angle of JL/Stairs seems to put less pressure off knees. It's a shame, b/c I had to take 4 breaks to get to 10 mins of leopard crawl! 30 mins of stairs is much easier lol! I've been throwing an old cushion on the floor as a ball slam in place of battle ropes, since gyms are closed - do you find this is a good alternative? I really love your work Superman Tim, I got your preset book as well!

It’s quite a bit of loaded extension on the toes and could be a progression if your toes aren’t use to it. Try it from the knees, it takes the weight off the toes. You could also try it on the tops of your feet as well but if all this is new, ease your way into it.
