Having a nervous breakdown, losing the ability to think rationally and to continue in the old patterns of thinking, offered me the gift of learning to meditate and live in the present. It was the best thing that ever happened to me, changed my life forever by forcing me to seek stillness.

When i die not many people will remember me, a few relations and loved ones will. But if they die before me my identity becomes insignificant so the key thing for leaving my imprint on this planet will be my love for nature. For the last 8 years i have transformed my garden (and other surrounding areas next to me) into an oasis for bees, butterflies , birds and countless other creatures. Hopefully nature will remember my identity and God will water my oasis.

I think it's healthy to remember your past, just don't live in it, or in the mind. One lives in the present moment, and appreciate what experiences brought them to become their true authentic selves. I could understand why Eckhart doesn't want to remember a horrible childhood, and young adulthood.
@daniel-stopsurvivingstartl5894 жыл бұрын
Becoming immersed into my imagination did not require any effort. As a result, I had no affection for the reality I was actually placed in. Gradually I became interested in more dramatic stories. It was almost as if I had an anxiety disorder. It also reminded me of when I had to take the SATs. At the time, I was struck by stories about how some people would improve their scores by 500 within only a couple months and receive a perfect score. This would allow me to put my anxiety down for a while. It was later that I learned later that most of those “stories” were simply advertising materials released by private education institutions. They knew exactly what people needed to calm their nerves. Anyhow, nothing was intriguing for me in life. Even if I was motivated to do something at times, that did not go long and I just became tired of it. The thought that I needed to be recognized by others and had to achieve higher goals than others always distressed me. If I met such conditions, I was happy, at least for a while. It felt nice and fulfilling as long as I could fill myself with the sense of being acknowledged by others; it was like a mere switch of a lamp - on and off it went. On the contrary, even if there was no concrete reason, I started to be impatient and obsessed if I simply felt the sense of disapproval.

Awakening is an amazing wonderful magical experience!!! I love this path. It truly brings me tears of joy to know who I really AM. The truth is you have been born and died so many times before. Think of this life as just a small bead in a long necklace. Each life builds up to what you will experience in the next one, this is called Karma. So rejoice in the knowing that you’re an eternal being of light. Know that you have a spiritual team behind you...always follow your intuition because this is your higher self guiding you. Your higher self is in other dimensions not only in the 3D.

I had to pause this video at 4:35 minutes. Because it brought back a memory I had in high school. I loved to go to antique shops. I noticed a whole shelf full of black and white photographs. It hit me at that moment that these held meanings and emotions when the family was alive. But to me it told me that I would be forgotten on the living earth someday. It took me on another journey in life than most. Just that one moment.

Moment-by-moment states of awakening slowly sculpt our constellation of engrams-the neural substrates of our memories-such that they empower us rather than relegate us in each successive moment. As a Harvard neuroscientist, I'm currently developing vids that will go into the underlying neurobiology of how meditative states rewire our brains over the long term. With enough meditative presence-based iterations, you'll slowly begin consistently embodying love/empathy over fear/hate. 🧠🧘♂️💕

Who am I? I am like you. I am that, which is, was and always will be, "me". Ask me who I was and I can tell you. Ask me who I want to be and I'll say I want to be the best me I can be. But ask me who I am right now, this moment, for that's where my true answer is found. In this moment, I am aware of an experience of what I call "me". Like me, I bet your mind sometimes wanders; acts unconsciously, judges, categorises, visualises - giving everything form and a narrative. Sometimes I don't feel quite myself. But who am I then, you may ask? I tried to grasp at who I am. Who I want to be. Who I am meant to be. It was like taking a handful of fine, sun-baked sand and gripping it tightly. The sand inevitably slipped quickly through my hands and back down toward the ground. The harder I grasped at it, the faster it ran through my fingers and out of my hand. It wasn't until I loosened my grip; let the sand rest in my hand, with stillness and acceptance that it would soon leave, that a few grains would sometimes linger in my palm a while longer, before gently passing back to the ground. In that way I found myself. The "I" in who I am. The peaceful, formless awareness of experience. Anything else is just a story.

Yes, thank you, thank you and thank you for I AM so very blessed and grateful. Your teachings are magical and timeless, thank you Eckhart Tolle, for it is an honor to be in your presence and being one with you, thank you. I am no longer identifying with form, and every once and a while over the last week, I have seen parts of me disappear, thank you for that and your wisdom. I AM at Peace and I NOW live truly in the moment, without fear, judgement or even the disillusionment at the forefront. I live where beauty, contentment, joy, inner peace, knowing, connecting with Source, wisdom and enlightenment are always at the forefront as well, for the better of ALL and for the better of my higher self. As I let go of all past stories, as I can feel them leaving this realm, faster and faster each moment, I AM free. As I honor my ego, my innocent little me, that has been testing time throughout this life time and all others, I now ask it to step aside, knowing that It did what it was supposed to and now it is free, I thank you and now I ask you to go back home, where you can love freely and safely in heaven. I AM supported fully and completely by a higher source, my higher source and you are free to go, as I am Free as well. I no longer Identify with form, I no longer remember and past moments, my old stories. I only remember the things I need to know in any given moment. So much love and may you and all others be blessed with Truth, remembering and most of all the unconditional love that we all have within us to move directly into awareness now. I think for the most people the journey begins after there first awakening when really the process is starting that ends the world you know of about yourself, personality, identity, beliefs it's scary and everything is adventure into the unknown and you can't hold on to things you know before. I hope a lot more teachers are beginning to speak more about that i am not the only one who been having these kind of problems.

Thank you, Eckhart. I sometimes wonder how many lives you have changed? It must be close to messianic. I love you, dear brother...

We have about 50 thoughts in our head per minute, let's bring that down 10 or 15 to start. It will help to become This. It's that simple.

Yes step by step, especially for the younger ones among us (like me). You can't force awakening, you can simply practice presence and let yourself sink deeper and deeper into it :)

Eckhart interpreted eternal wisdom for us! For 30 years, (my whole adult life), I was trying to understand what a prayer is. I read definitions, but nothig fully made sense. Untill I heard him. It doesn't mean my suffering is over. No! I am still 'roasting' myself :/ big time. But, there is a peacfull 'place' I know can go to. That keeps me sane. Namaste :)

I was reading the power of now by Eckhart a few moments ago and this video came up. Love the timing.

Just a few days ago, I had a deep realization. I knew what was my real identity, my true self, which ultimately was formless and non-separated from the universe. I was in complete stillness, experimenting something that was new for me. It's pretty hard to describe, because at the moment I'm kind of unconscious, but at least I have had a change on my identification, although those thought patterns still existing. I know that my journey is getting closer to true realization. Wish luck to everyone reading this. Love y'all.

Bless all you magnificent souls, and bless the discontent which brought you here 💙 I manifested an event in 2017 that involved a serious concussion and total amnesia for a full day. When I ‘regained’ awareness, I was shocked to learn that despite my not remembering anything or anyone (including who I was) during that day, I was still somehow ‘me’ - treating people with kindness and concern, gratitude, and a hilarious insistence that the staff should know “I’m not great with needles sorry” 🤣 this started a crisis of identity that has led to such indescribable joy, wonder, and understanding…and more each day. Thank you Eckhart, Abe-Hicks, Aaron Abke, Christina Lopes and so many others who’ve helped Light the Way, and you beautiful people out here traveling the Path ❤️💡
