Zi-o is one of my favorite riders simply because it was able to balance things out between being respectful of the original seasons but not taking it too seriously. I especially love how Zi-o tries to copy moves and lines but gets them wrong. The self aware humor was also great. My only disappointment is we didn't get a full season of Kamen Rider Shinobi.

If i recall suda masato (philip) said he wish he could reprise his role for heisei generation forever but he was busy for the next 2 years at the time. And hence why there was a gaia library scene. This info was around at the time so... i could be wrong

@ In a series that was created to sell toys to little kids, blaming the heroes for essentially work of god just makes both side hates you: The Kamen Rider fan for again blaming the hero for works of god and the survivors of the actual event because the hypothetical villain just makes their anger feel like unreasonable. Sooo Shirakura is smart enough to move away from that story beat.

I remember watching Zi-O as it came out weekly, when I was 14, and I enjoyed it a lot. Woz will always have a special place in my heart, as he is very neurodiverse-coded and looking back, he sums up well why I keep coming back to kamen rider: it’s one of a few places where I can really see myself, and even as Geats is my favourite series now, with joy is resistance and a lot of awesome stuff, I will always remember Zi-O and the Heisei era

18:13 I REALLY got to disagree with this. The Wizard Tribute imo is one of the most important early episodes in ZI-O. Because we know Sougo is Oma ZI-O in the future & has to potential to go down the same path. But this arc really cements that idea because of how manipulative the guy was it showed that he wasn't just a dumb kid. And while what he did was for the greater good in this case it makes Geiz even more wary then he is. And the Catalyst for this was Tsukuyomi being in the sleep spell and not being active. Foreshadowing what happen latter in the show when she lost faith Sougo for a while.

You have to give the show credit. No denying the fact they got someone from nearly everyone of the previous 19 seasons except for kuuga. That’s a feat that even decade, gokaiger, and zenkaiger didn’t do. However, dedicating two episodes for each male the show lost its identity. The incorporation of early guest stars aren’t interesting when they’re not part of the action. Hibiki and Kabuto arcs featuring someone else pick up mantle of title character isn’t as bad as decade beating up all alternate version of the main riders. Some rider arc happen to have good closure like blade, but end up get undo at the end with whole timeline reset and create a new alternate world like build ending from the previous year. Even build ending was a remake of the winter movie concept.

I don’t understand why everyone has to have a backstory ask why this and why that , when all this is is a fictional character story , it’s meant to be a fun heroic story , mostly for kids , but lately adults want to try and go down a rabbit hole that leads nowhere. I enjoyed Zi-O , and can say it’s my favorite because this was my introduction to Kamen Rider , and I love the movie , but I never tried to go through every little bit of the show to try and find out if there’s a reason for everything , and in my opinion , it was written for mostly kids , and kids only care about the fighting and the comedy and seeing older characters from other series. Oh and it’s made to sell toys. And even though I’m no kid anymore , I fell into that trick and bought more toys from this series than any other. But the Ziku driver is and will always be my favorite. Well at least until I get my Zein Driver next March. Good video . 👍👍👍✌️✌️✌️
