I kind of wish men and women could understand each other more. It feels almost like we're 2 different species. And it feels like when you are dating or married to someone that, its difficult to not be pulled in entirely different directions. And especially society REALLY pulls women to want to do what other women want them to do. And as a priesthood holder I don't understand why women will want to be close to their kids but completely ignore their husband. All my life I've seen that once women get what they want, they ignore their husband and that he is the last thing on their mind. I don't understand this. And I don't see how this will ever be reconciled if this mentality continues. And its weird especially because to men, their hearts are on their wife continually. Almost constantly. Yet why don't women feel the same about us? I wish leaders or more instruction or something could address this more. And I'm trying to actually live the gospel and still have experienced this. Its got to be much worse for people that don't even accept the gospel or not living it. Because there's more enmity and darkness in the world when you don't have the light of the gospel. /// I hope that somehow men and women will one day have more love to one another. In this life it feels like its so hard to reach one another on a spiritual and emotional connection level. So we need SOMETHING in order to bring us together. Its already hard. Like when I see family members, most of their interactions with men, are usually only when they need or want something. They don't really want to even hang out or talk to their men except to demand something or need money, etc. So we need something to bring us together... although I am not suggesting a focus on lust. /// And I hope you or others can reply to me on this as Its something I've been earnestly hoping for more inspiration regarding.

Perhaps what you are describing is a reflection on the consequences of attempting to stay true to the principles of the Gospel while at the same time melding current societal values and practices into your belief system. It is a paradox that simply can't be worked out.

@@thelatterdayteacher Yes. Thanks for your reply. Perhaps it will be more ideal in a Celestial system like the United Order? And I'm curious if eventually in such a system will they end up actually working side by side during the hours of the day.

@@stevenbolin7688 I like your answer. Do you feel it is essential for defamatory sources that some attempt to mix with church history to be verified beyond the weak standards of today?

@@thelatterdayteacher Hmmm 🤔 really interesting,I'm not sure, I was a pastor before I joined. Not qualified for your question. Yeah there's a lot of problems with the old and new ways. Dissent is there. But I'm a lazy learner, 😆

@@thelatterdayteacher I'm curious why asked about defamatory sources? I don't see that he did or asked something defamatory unless it came from a different video where you started talk to him? If you are asking about this, I would tie in and reinforce what your purpose and intent is if you state something negative. This is the pattern in D&C 50; the verses on edification how 2 people build one another up. Show an increase of love afterwards when you have to rebuke your child. Its the same with gospel investigators. Sometimes you have to bring up something negative, so afterwards you want to show increase of faith and assurance. Let me further clarify. You don't want to bring up something defamatory. I wouldn't use those. But sometimes there's things that are negative because of behavior in the church that have to be brought up in order to be corrected and then sometimes people mistakenly think its defamation, but your intent may have been to correct a wrong point. But they didn't understand it. And this is why you reassure like a parent. Example 1; Jacob rebukes the members of his day for lusting after having concubines. He's teaching them something they are doing is wrong. Now in the modern day example, someone might not realize we're allowed to encourage and exhort someone or other members. Its an Aaronic priesthood responsibility even. So we might see something we're doing wrong and bring attention to it. But others don't know us, we're not in their ward. So they might think we're bashing when we're actually wanting a wrong to be corrected, or for correction teaching of a matter to be brought forth so the gray area isn't exploited further. Some might misunderstand that as defamation based on their own weaknesses. But if you come back and reassure of intent and purpose and that your purpose is to build up not destroy it helps to not have misunderstands that might be misconstrued as defamatory when they aren't.
