Do you intermittent fast? How long do you do it for?
@jessie96533 жыл бұрын
I've been doing OMAD for 4 years now. I had all the markers for rheumatoid arthritis and I decided not to take any medication and do intermittent fasting and I couldn't be happier. 😁 I lost 35 lb. I'm just turning 40 and my doctor told me my FHS levels are at 60, he said I'm going through menopause. So I'm hoping continuing my intermittent fasting will help me through this time of my life

I got rid of reumathoid arthritis with fasting and diet change, got off medication 12 years ago, at age 30. Currently my FHS is 48 and I need to get my body into healing mode once again for impending menopause, I love intermittent fasting for how rapidly it heals so many things. I find it simplifies my life.

If you do have adrenal issues, please don't think you can't fast based off of what they said. Everyone's body is different. I would recommend making sure you eat as clean as possible and start out on a long fast. Try 12/12 even if you do not have adrenal issue's. Most people these days already have adrenal issues, but perhaps their body is not showing signs yet, but tons of people do have this issue and do not know it. SO YES, if you do have adrenal issues do not fear, just eat cleaner with whole foods and no processed foods and start your times on a simpler note. If you wake and eat by 5am, then make your last meal by 5pm. Listen, you have to try and do differently or you will remain the same with no progress and recovery. I am speaking from experience. Now go get your health back, so you can live well and even very well!

Great interview! I'm 42 and heading towards menopause, I've done intermittent fasting before, but after my last blood work I realized I'd been in perimenopause the last couple of years and really needed to get back to it. I've started a low carb diet, fingers crossed the diet + fasting will smooth out the symptoms. I learned a lot, thank you, Dr Jemecia!

This is such amazing information. I've tried intermittent fasting but wasn't too sure about all the benefits. I think I'll try it again. I was trying it for weight loss but there are so many other benefits. Also love the information about collagen. I've just started taking that too. Thanks for this great video :)

Consider watching Dr. Berg’s series content on IF. There are many dietary considerations. I jumped into IF and experienced dehydration, because I was not prepared. BUT, for someone in peri menopause (I,e,, weight gain) IT WORKS😊

I'm a 14-16/ 8-10 faster. When i began i wondered if i would be ravenous in the mornings because i do exercise at least 5 mornings a week but once my body got used to it (less than a week) that wasn't the case. I think it was mind over matter.

I've been doing 16/8 IF since February 2023. I have a question. During my 8 hour eating window, is there a rule of how many times to eat? Great video ladies, thank you.
@wearemorphus Жыл бұрын
Hi Julia. I'm happy to hear you enjoyed our interview. I also do 16/8. I don't really follow any hard and fast rules during my eating window as eat when I want to but others have said to limit it to 2 meals so you're not spiking insulin and glucose too often. I always say listen to your body.

Acheyness and brain fog are signs of perimenopause. You dont have to have hot flashes as a sign of starting perimenopause especially with her saying her aches hit her out the blue. It seems as though she is already managing the symptoms through supplementation and of course the IF is helping the aches because it is lowering the inflammation in her body (as it is known to increase higher during peri/menopause. Unless there is a thyroid issue in which a person would still have to find the root cause...ie of brain fog which could be due to low iron.

Ive tried it but triggers my binge eating disorder again and again . Doctors said don’t do it if you have eating disorders.
