Today I’m going to cover the benefits of lactobacillus. Lactobacillus is a common microbe that lives inside and on your body. These friendly bacteria actually do many things for the body.
Friendly bacteria can do many things, including:
• Make vitamins
• Decrease pathogens
• Decrease inflammation
• Convert fat into small-chain fatty acids
• Protect the immune system
Lactobacillus is used to help with:
• IBS
• Colic
• Intestinal inflammation
• Gastritis and stomach pain
• Hay fever
• Allergies
• Candida
• Liver disease
• Gallbladder problems
• Constipation
• Diarrhea
• Arthritis
• C. diff
• Vaginal yeast
• UTI
Sources of lactobacillus:
• Fermented dairy products
• Fermented vegetables
You can also take a good non-dairy probiotic supplement that includes lactobacillus, like the one I’ve created called “Friendly Bacteria Probiotic.”
My probiotic supplement contains 12 strains, including several strains of lactobacillus. This product is unique in that it contains a lot of individual microbes that live together in a small ecosystem. There are some really cool advantages to this rather than growing the bacteria individually and then combining them like many other products do.
The microbes in this product are strong, resilient, and very stable at wide temperatures and pH levels. They can also survive the stomach pH.
You would want to take a half cap a day right before bed. You can mix it with a small amount of water. You can go up to a full cap, depending on how you feel. You may need to start small and gradually work your way up to a full cap, especially if you feel fatigued after taking a full cap.

I share this with my military veteran brothers and sister dealing with PTSD and anxiety issues. What most people do not know is that serotonin receptors are created in the gut before they get up to the brain. This is vital to sleep and mood stability. Maintenance of the gut is vital to good and stable mental health.

Absolutely right, the worst days of my life where followed by irritable bowel and it took me years to realize how changing my diet and getting a good pro biotic supplement changed everything. Literally a probiotic gummy was offered on a discount shelf and I picked it up. A week later I was back to working out on time and my stress levels tanked.

@@midnightchurningspriteshaq8533 before your done with your gummies, consider a capsule type probiotic with 30-50 billion IUs. I use 50 billion IU with great success. I am trying out “Seed” which in a relatively new prebiotic and probiotics in one capsule, both are vital to digestive health.

I’d be careful though. As much as probiotics and increased water intake can help with UTIs, and especially prevention, untreated UTIs can get really nasty if it spreads to your kidneys. From there you can get septic or get kidney damage. If your doctor insists on antibiotics please take them, and take the full course

I have never thought about that, thanks for pointing it out! What if those good bacterias die when they are refrigerated?
@Rollgott

They seem to handle cold pretty well, lol. They actually grow stronger from the cold if they are in cool temperature for even 60 days. Not sure how long commercial shelves fermented jars have been stored in cold before they get sold. And no idea how many good bacterias are actually fermented inside there. Better to make your own from own grown plants. :D Not sprayed with toxic chemicals that kills your love!

I have HI and I need to be careful about which probiotics I take as they trigger histamine so yes

@@dominikamihokova784 Interesting, thank you. My experience has been similar and I am concerned once the Histamin producing cultures made themselves comfortable in the gut they feed of normal food and could be there to stay/not easy to get rid of.

@@Microbiome101 honestly my DR gave my a list with probiotics I can/shouldn't take and I additionally asked in pharmacy for the best option for me (I also have a chronic gastritis + strong milk&gluten intolerance on top). it might be very hard to navigate especially since the foods he recommends are not suitable for anyone with HI but your doctor should be able to help (if he is not, ask another one)

@@dominikamihokova784 Have you aditionally had an examination of your gut Mikrobiome for such bacterias or other pathogens that influence Histamin levels? I am currently looking for a Doc that can assist me with that, contacting laboratories on my own has not got me far. One would think that a county like Austria has a well established healthcare system that also covers such Important topics, but no, so far i am heavily disappointed with many 'professionals' and often confronted with cluelessness..
