I have a Graf Zeppelin dress chrono that cost a bit more than this. It has a 12h chrono and an alarm. And a marvelous strap. So while it may seem a lot, the value is justified.
@tjs57704 жыл бұрын
Yeah but it’s not just a regular quartz. It’s the vk64 mechaquartz. I’m willing to pay more for a mechaqurtz than a regular quartz.
@vukotabrajovic59884 жыл бұрын
@@tjs5770 Seiko's Mecaquartz is actually just a regular quartz as well. The only mechanical thing about it is its reset mechanism. Everything else is the same as with any other Seiko's quartz movement. For example, so-called sweeping hand actually ticks five times per second, just like on ordinary quartz 7T62 movement, which is way, way better movement than Mecaquartz. And, yes, that Graf Zeppelin (powered by Swiss Ronda quartz if I'm not mistaken) presents much better value than these beautiful Dan Henry watches, and the reason is - Seiko Mecaquartz, a rather overused pedestrian zero-jewel movement with awful legibility for 60-minute chrono counter. With Mecaquartz, Seiko should either do the full 12hr chrono, or at least present the cleaner 30-minute bi-compax version, with constant seconds instead of the useless 24hr subdial.
@tjs57704 жыл бұрын
Vukota Brajovic I understand what it is. But it’s not just a regular quartz in the sense that it snaps back. I like the snap back and I’m willing to pay more for it than for a quartz chrono that doesn’t snap back.

Христо Мартунков, граф Лозенски exactly. getting a good reliable chrono that wouldnt bump the thickness way high would cost way more. TGV, I love Dan Henry Homage watches. I've got a 63 and a 64. It's great that he has focused on "days gone by". I could never afford a Brietling 765AVI £9k (63) or a Top Time, but Dan's allowed me to get the feel at fraction of the price. I wish the 63 had meca quartz, that's my main gripe with that watch, why give it the others? (perhaps a review?) This 37 is definitely on my list. I agree with your choice, Silver and Gold any day. I had problems with my 64 and Dan replied in person. "Top Geezer!"

@@Qjemuse Mine is a Vintage Killy. And the movement is Seiko's VK61. Very reliable and accurate. The difference in seconds with the VHP has increased in the last 10 months to -1second for the Undone with respect to the VHP. But here is the full story: I set them both exactly with computer, internet, time on 29th February 2020. A very easy date to remember. So 1 year and almost 3 months ago. The Longines VHP has an accuracy deviation of 10sec/year. It is the Flagship from around 2002, not the latest model. And its accuracy up until today is +2seconds in all that time, 15.5 months. So, it is doing much better than expected. But, as I said, the Undone is 1 second behind the Longines, so it has a deviation of actual time of only +1second in 15.5 months... Pretty amazing. I didn't expected at all. Maybe the temperature were I keep it is very constant, because is way better than what is expected.
