They are still less influential than Depeche Mode. They are considered one.of, if not the greatest British electronic group of all time. They completely changed the way electronic and alternative music sound and were a huge influence on a ton of artists from Shakira to Rammstein to Linkin Park.

Did anyone actually like Like a Prayer, I just remember MTV couldn't get enough of the slut-in-church video. Never met anyone who likes that song. Wouldn't Material Girl be more 80s? Or just use Cyndi Lauper instead. Running Up That Hill got more popular from Stranger Things than it was in the 80s. I hate Rolling Stone don't know why I'm replying.

I get that it’s influential but 80s rap is so unbelievably lame and outdated, even public enemy. I can’t believe we’re still talking about it in 2023. Everything about it has aged badly.
