I've known Scott from back when our bands shared the bill at a local club a few times. His band, Scott Leftwich & The Atarians, is still putting out music. They would set their merch booth up and have TVs with Atari sets ready to play, it was a trip how they went all-in on the branding. Years after I gave up playing live, he was kind enough to invite me over to Wieners & Losers and has done so several times. It's a blast, I heavily recommend anyone local in the area get on the email list and book a time to come visit. Also, I love ATW and have been watching for years. This made my day to see you were in my backyard, Adam. Thanks for all the content you do and special thanks for shining a light on Scott!

@@holyflame2 Arcades died during the PS1 era where you could have near arcade perfect ports in the home of the new 3D generation of games. Arcades used to be the next gen looking games compared to home systems. When it went to 3D the arcades and cabs became too gimmicky and expensive. So it was a mass of House of the Dead style shooting, 3D driving, and fighting games, with silly skiing/gimmick games. Only the fighting games had the simple joystick type. The others were expensive cabinets and there were so many of the same genres being released it was hard to recoupe the money spent on the cab

One cool thing about the Journey game is once you collect all the band members instruments, they play a mini concert from a cassette in the machine. That too is a level because you play a bouncer trying to keep the crowd away from the band if not the crowd rushes the stage and you start over but on a higher difficulty.
