In today’s review I reacquaint myself with a dear old friend. Before I owned the manual wind 39mm "First Omega In Space” (FOIS), and after a brief time with the famous 42mm "Moonwatch" professional, I owned many versions of the smaller 38mm automatic, known rather disparagingly and unfairly as the "Reduced." Thus began a long and tempestuous love affair with this affordable version that invariably caused me to sell it and re-buy it more times than I care to remember. Why did this happen and how does it feel back on the wrist all these years later?
The watch market has changed dramatically, and this once affordable alternative has now skyrocketed in both demand and price. Is it still a good deal? How has it fared over the years, and is it still the best affordable Omega Speedmaster?
In this video I borrow reference 3510.50 from the Watchbox inventory and take it out for a lifestyle review at some of Philadelphia’s popular sights to figure out its positives and negatives. Since I started my channel, not a month goes past that I don't miss owning this ideally sized Speedy for the more modest wrist, so join me to find out what I think about it now!
