Love the spaciousness in this park model! I am not a fan of the metal in the cabinets either. The loft is very nice. Thank you for sharing this one. Love your banter lol.

❤❤🎉 as a 77yr I like that you have videos for senior looking for tiny houses. I like that the house is unfurnished so I can picture what I would see for me. Please talk about having a tub not a shower. I'm looking for a house w/tub in Tennessee if possible. Able to hire a person to make this 🏡... 💕🙏🏽 👋👋

Thanks for showing tiny home, Tammy and Paul. I think my favorite tiny home was a retired school teacher who lives in Austin, TX, and has a custom tiny home. I saw her home on Tiny Home tours. I always enjoy your videos.

I would put the French doors on the side coming into the livingroom, and put the kitchen as you come in. That way you have designated areas! You can also have a deck off the livingroom if you choose!!😊

Her tiny home was not custom. You can buy the same home at RRC in Rockwall, TX and Athens, TX...maybe even more places. She just opted not to have an oven, just a cook top. They give you options of what you want as far as appliances and if you want to add a wood accent wall or have it all wood or all drywall. I liked her home too, but RRC has 3 or 4 I really like, especially some of their latest models. Just letting you know where you can get the home she has, in case you are able to get one. I'm in love with the model they have that comes with a big tile shower, pantry, big loft, big walk-in closet that also holds the washer/dryer, fireplace on the side wall, and big front porch. The floor plan is similar to the one in this video, but has all the things I'd want. Having the walk-closet does make the den a little smaller, but that is okay to me. RRC stands for Recreational Resort Cottages...you may know already. They have a big website and a YT channel for anyone that wants to know. I really like their quality and different options.

Thanks for the tip! When we travel in the truck, we usually have one with us, but on this day we rode our motorcycles. Avery usually has floor plans on their webpage with dimensions.

One safety issue, the outlet should be moved to the left over the counter space, not over the sink. I do love the counter space, and the deck, but I would put a sliding door with built-in blinds and screen, and move it to the left, to give the right side more room for a TV, fireplace and entertainment stand. I would also get a mobile kitchen cart that I found on Wayfair, but there are many to choose from. I love the size of that shower, and the counter space to the left of the sink where that outlet should be. I would put a shower tower panel in that shower. You can put a variety of different cabinets in this roomy bathroom, and love the TV on that wall, angle it and watch while you are in the shower. That closet isn't too bad. I would put a hanging closet above, and found a rod to hang on it, that gives you a lower rod, and you can leave room for long tall clothes on the side. It's shortest is 30 inches, not sure how long it goes, maybe 36". That loft is nice, I can put some benches (with storage from Walmart), beanbag chairs (from Walmart), a bed, create a storage area. Some bookcases, a credenza for my crafts and supplies. I can definitely live in a Park Model full time, just want to find the right layout.

All great ideas. We have seen quite a few and the layouts all start seeming similar in the southeast. Unique ones like this are hard to find.

Wanted to add that it’s a very spacious cabin. What could be done is an island rolling island in the kitchen if you need more prep space. The bathroom was lovely and I like the jack and Jill what size bed do you think could fit in there queen?
@50pluslife3606 ай бұрын
Rolling island is a good idea. The bedroom will accommodate a queen, but a king would likely be too big.

The area under the stairs, is mechanical equipment there? If not why don’t they put a closet or shelving under there? I love looking at small houses thanks for the tour!
@50pluslife3602 ай бұрын
Yes of you look at the outside there is an access panel that lines up with the area under the stairs. That’s likely where the water heater and water hook up is located. Thanks for watching!

love the new intro music 🥰 im wondering if you be able to keep your ears open for builders willing to do custom or try new design. im looking for a place to do a design they make in Netherlands and Australia. next time you visit Avery, ask for me, and i'll send them a link of what im looking for. thanks to both of you!!

I don't like long windows that almost reach the floor. Any tiny homes already built that include a soaking tub and shower?

To find both separate, it would be difficult. Many manufacturers can put in a one piece combo, though.

It’s a 399 square foot house. You have to contact Avery for exact pricing depending on dealers in your area. Loosely speaking it’s likely in the market of 90k.

Ditch the porch and make the living room bigger then it would be Fabulous. I don’t like porches I would sit in the yard.

The porch is a bonus. They can't really add on to the size of the home due to certification requirements, but they likely can build one without the porch.

This is not a tiny house. It's big and wide

Technically it still is, as it is under 500 square feet, but it is roomy!

@@50pluslife360 No this is not a tiny house. I've been following tiny houses ever since and trailers this size was not heard in the beginning. 500 sq.ft and under is Not the original tiny house concept which in fact it's under 200 sq.ft.!!! Hence the term. This trailer is more like a Park Model size which were common prior. Only the big & wide trailer builders that are taking advantage of tiny house trend duping buyers, will say it's under 500-600 sq.ft just so you all can sell bigger expensive trailer$
@50pluslife3606 ай бұрын
We aren't selling anything except our personalities. We aren't manufacturers or dealers. 200 square foot may be big enough for a single person, but for a couple that want to have grandkids and kids stay over once in a while, it won't work for us. A standard park model or Florida sized park model is ideal for us. Our current home is over 3k square feet, so downsizing to 4-500 for us is tiny. A 200 square foot or less would be a "micro-home" for us, or as we call it, a tuna can, a Wok Box, or an oversized coffin. No offense, of course; just stating what our opinion is and what would and wouldn't work for us.
@foxthorne6 ай бұрын
@@50pluslife360 the original tiny house concept began at 200 sq.ft or less and were intended for singles or couples only for affordable housing not bigger lavish very pricey trailers like this. The original Tumbleweed tiny houses were less than 200sq.ft range including Jay Shafer's tiny house who came up with the tiny house concept. These are facts! Micro homes are actually much smaller "homes" they're the size of porta potties and this concept is meant for off-grid outdoor camping. Fact!! 💯 get it right. I dislike when large and wide mobile trailer builders and building codes change the whole idea of the concept to market their larger expensize trailers it's misleading they're ruining it

Wow. This really gets your gout don’t it? We really don’t give it that much of our life’s precious remaining energy to worry about it. We didn’t ruin the so called movement, we just follow it along. Do you go to every KZbin channel like ITH and others and give them what for with your fact checking? I hope so cause apparently you get some comfort in being the gatekeeper to the term ‘tiny’. No one forces you to watch or comment but we’re glad you do because it helps our channel grow and earn more money for our efforts! Appreciate you straightening us out. We’ll make sure to tell everyone on our next video that you know all the history of the tiny house movement and will be glad to share it. Or maybe we won’t.
