I have problem with Randolph AVIATOR C 23K GOLD sunglasses with color issue & notepad broken because of low quality will you review it? Randolph is not co-orating

While I agree that Randolph makes very good frames with gold plating, they are not the best sunglasses. I have worn other aviators that are head and shoulders better, with better lenses. Take Salt Optics Fransisco for example. They are also expensive like Randolph, but with much better frames and lenses. Look for yourself. Randoph has medium high quality lenses in glass. They are a great pair of sunglasses, but not the best. Maui Jim has lenses that are superior to Randoph. Just go to a sunglasses store and directly compare similar Maui's to Randolphs. The difference is obvious. I'm also not a fan of the green hue that Randolph has on their lenses. It does not make everything pop, it just makes everything look green. There are two types of lenses.The first is a lense that puts a blanket of color over everything. The tint is noticeable as a dark fog or tinted colored fog over the eyes. Nothing special, but gets the job done. Then there are the few that does the opposite. Putting on Maui lenses at first you think there's no sunglasses on at all. Everything just seems naturally darker. Then you look and see how the lenses earn their patents. It doesn't have a colored fog, but enhances colors that should be enhanced and leaves others more natural. It does this in a much more sophisticated way than regular lenses. There's really no comparison. Also, anyone who has been in the military knows that the term "miitary grade" is laughable. The lowest bidder my friends. There are many reasons I would not give the award to Randolph, those are just a few. However, I will say that Randolph does make great sunglasses that are worth every penny.

Also, as far as I can tell, most military pilots use helmets with face shields and not sunglasses. Ever since Mad Men RE has become a fashion choice. They’ve also drastically increased their pricing accordingly. Cheers

@@BC08 the ag is neutral and great quality too. However, there is a difference looking through mj lenses ans randolph lenses. Mj just has better lenses that make colors pop i. A more natural but more complicated way. There is a noticeable difference that is undeniable. Dont take my word for it. Talk to any professional in the business and they will agree mj has some of the best lenses you can buy period. This is also from my experience looking at many many brands over the years from drug store glasses to 1,000 plus dollar chrome hearts. Strange that once you pass a certian price point, everyone just uses cr39 lenses.
