That is a great recipe that I will of course try next time I have some ripe bananas. I love the idea of caramelizing the banana, and the addition of cardamom. I have never tried that but is sounds delicious and even more so with the cardamom. My own recipe is otherwise very similar but I also put a good helping of coarsely chopped walnuts in there, and a good helping of chocolate chip too. Dark chocolate of course 😋

Those bananas are perfect. Love the father son cooking relationship🤗. I use either of James Beard’s recipes and add dark chocolate chips or walnuts but I’m going to try adding cardamon and caramelize the bananas, yum!

I have been making banana bread for 30 years in the US. You overcomplicate the basic recipe. Also I would add more banana and add nuts and raisins or other dried fruit. Always tastes delicious.
